Won’t recommend to any person around or outside the area, worst place I’ve been too, my belongings went missing while car was in the shop, they refused to help me find out who, where, when did it happen, nearly kicked me out the place for asking for help find my valuable items, spend over 6 thousand dollars on repairs with there company and this how they treat a customer, horrible experience

My biggest regret was taking my car here to get service because my car is now worse. I took my car else where because, I feared for my safety while driving. I was informed that they did not put the correct part in my car. When I informed them about it they became defensive, telling me they’ve been doing this for years and it’s not possible. However, I went to the Acura dealership as well and was informed the parts were not the correct parts. All they had to do was own up to their mistake because we’re human and things happen

Literally cannot say enough regarding how courteous, thorough, and professional the team is at Aamco. Anthony and all the mechanics go the extra mile in explaining estimates and proposed repairs. We've had them do repair work and general maintenance on our car. They send a monthly flyer with reminders for service and family friendly things like puzzles, upcoming holidays, and recipes. Before we found Aamco on Gun Hill Rd we had used a local mechanic a few blocks from our home. Now we travel the extra distance to Aamco and they are worth it. Highly recommend! Five stars all the way.

HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION! MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING THERE FOR 2 WEEKS AND IM JUST FINDING OUT MY WARRANTY IS NOT PAYING FULL PRICE AND I HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET 1300! ON TOP OF THAT THEY TOLD ME 3 DIFFERENT TIMES MY CAR WOULD BE READY AND IT WAS NOT! AND THEY ORDERED THE WRONG PART AND PUT IT IN MY CAR AND SAYING THEY ORDERED THE RIGHT ONE SO I NOW HAVE TO WAIT EVEN LONGER!

The staff and the owner Is absolutely honest and trustworthy people I had the pleasure of working with, Jesus is spot on and will make sure your car is in its best shape possible, I have had bad experiences in the pass with mechanic and trusting them, but this Ammco is the absolute best and I Highly recommend this business! Would’ve gave 0 stars if I could place is a joke, wanted 165$ per hour for labor but couldn’t tell me what was wrong with the engine even after a week, refused to release my car to AAA TWICE and lied about my warranty inspector coming out…shady place wouldn’t recommend…mad shops in the Bronx, take ur money elsewhere if you’re wise!

This shop goes above and beyond my heat stop working in my jeep and few other things that they had to fix I'm happy with the Professional services they provided. My sister always take her suv there for years never any problems. I highly recommend this shop really nice staff and mechanics.

I was looking at the reviews for the AAMCO on Gun Hill Road and I saw that it had a 4.3 star rating, so i decided to bring in my 2012 Honda Accord. My car needed some attention on the transmission. I was greeted by the wonderful receptionist Barbara and she got my paper work processed quickly. I then got to meet the owner, Anthony, who was pleasant and knowledgeable about my car issue. Anthony did tell me what was the problem with my car and said it would be fixed in a few days. He promised that he would follow up the next day to tell me exactly what work needed to be done on my car. Long story short, a few days later I got a call from Anthony telling me that my car was ready for pick up. When picking up the car Anthony again explained what work was done on my car and I drove off a happy customer. I came by the following week for inspection and they were again amazing. I also want to give a shout out to Cesar, the mechanic, for doing a great job. I’m happy to say that I’m a customer of you guys from here on…Thanks, and I’ll see you guys in the future if I ever need to bring my car for any work.

I went there because my car wouldn't start and run turned out to be the alternator and I feel that I was overcharged $1,001 to put in an alternator and furthermore I was overcharged for the alternator $572 to put in to a 2013 Honda Pilot

Considering they were referred by another shop I expected them to be good but I believe they went above and beyond. They were not only professional and polite over the phone they followed through when I walked into the office. They made calls to make sure I was covered under warranty and then directed me on how to proceed. This was my first time utilizing this company but it will not be the last.

THE WAITING AREA IS NASTY WITH COCKAROACHES RUNNING EVERYWHERE AND PARTS LAYING ALL OVER THE FLOOR THAT PEOPLE TRIP OVER! I BROUGHT MY CAR FOR TRANSMISSION SERVICE ENDED UP GETTING MY VEHICLE BACK NOT FIXED PROPERLY AND HAD TO BRING IT TO A REAL TRANSMISSION SHOP!
AND ALSO THEY RECEIVED A PARKING TICKET ON MY CAR AND NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT & THEY NEVER PAID IT SO I HAD TO PAY THE TICKET PLUS THE LATE FEES!
BUT THE SHOP IS FILLED WITH CUSTOMERS CARS HALF FINISHED AND EMPLOYEES TALKING ON THIER PHONES WHAT A DISGRACE!

Best car shop in New York and a famous AAMCO across the country. They always take great care of your car and you. Never had an issue with my car they couldn’t solve. They’re also all good people so it’s the perfect friendly neighborhood car shop.

I'm sure the intention was good, with such an expert history you would expect their service to be outstanding wellI took my vehicle for diagnostic and was told two to three hours well I waited giving a 4th hour and guess what nothing was done at all. Thanks for parking my car so I did not get ticketed for double parking. I will not return and I was referred by someone who dealt with them for more then 10years it did not matter the service was poor.

I called and explained my problem to dejesus. He told me to bring my car in. I did and after I arrived I filled out the paper work and he told me it would be a couple of hrs to get my car in I said ok and they said no waiting allowed. I left my car at 11am I called at 4 at which dejesus told me he has one more car ahead of me and that he will let me know. I seen the time getting late so I decided to come back to the shop at which I arrived at 5 pm. At 530 they told me my car could not be seen today a complete waste of my day and time this shop is very unprofessional and their liars. In a way I’m happy they didn’t touch my car. I definitely do not recommend this shop at all worse of the worst

If you have the option of getting a 2nd opinion please do so. They tell you that they only use DEALER parts on the the cars they use a lot of aftermarket parts and charge dealer prices.

Strongly recommend this shop they were able to tell me the root of my problem and was very reasonable with me Ask for Jesus he’s the best very understanding and compassionate and respectful and reasonable

I had a wonderful experience. I had to get my transmission fixed and that is scary but I felt like they wanted to help and really tired with financing. Also communication was great they kept me up to date with what was happening. I never felt like a bother. My car is running great and i will continue to take my Nisson there.

This place is ridiculous, a complete waste of time! I specifically asked how long it would take for an (overpriced) oil change and brake pads/rotors and I was told and hour and a half. After 3 hours of waiting I asked how much longer it would take and I get not answer. When I finally say that I need to leave that’s when I was told there was a delay in getting the parts. I received no service after all that time and was never advised that there was a delay. If you value your time stay away from this place.

Great experience. If you care about your vehicle I would recommend you pay them a visit. Jesus & the team hooked my transmission up. Well done guys.

Once again I entrusted AAMCO with my yearly inspection and I am greeted with such professionalism and friendliness. They explain every step of the inspection to me so I am aware of everything with my car and even offer tips on different parts of the car that may need attention later. It means a lot to have professional mechanics not only inspect my car, but to include me in the process so I can also be aware of any part of my car that may need attention. When I go to AAMCO, I know that I am being taking cared of with the upmost care. I highly recommend this location if you would like service that you can trust.

Anthony and his staff are top notch. They treat you with respect and they are proficient in their work. Honestly I went to many mechanics and Ammaco was the best place. My cars major issue was the transmission. They test drove my car, something the other places I went to never did. They told me the issues, gave me a price, and my car was ready 2 days later with no issues. Best service ever! & they told me to come back for a check up, at no cost! Best company. So I went into Aamco on Gunhill in da Bx and everyone was tentative ready to assist but more importantly willing to listen then ask questions. I didn’t get his name but the gentleman with blond ponytail sat with me and explained all my options. Really kool cat and knowledgeable at his craft. Nothing showed up on my diagnostic but if I ever need anything pertaining to mechanical issues that they can service they will have my business. That’s what happens when you treat people right.
Aamco on Gunhill I will promote and advise my fishing buddies and friends to go there.
BDW the owner or manager seems to be like a good dude.

Anthony was very friendly and professional. I was on my way out of state when my transmission started to give trouble. I went to 2 other mechanics who diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote without even looking at the car. When I arrived at Anthony’s shop, he said he couldn’t give me a quote without first looking at the vehicle. I really appreciated that and had already made up my mind to use his service just based on that alone. I was really impressed. After he looked at it he diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote and then let me know the best and worst case scenario. I got the car back as promised. He called me several times to keep me updated on the progress and even found a serious safety issue that I had to fix. The previous mechanic had put two left brake calipers on instead of a left and right. He also recommended services I would need in the near future. I would highly recommend this mechanic shop to anyone and use them again in the future.

Honest and good people work here! Very knowledgeable. I wish things weren't so expensive but that's the world we live in. Would recommend to everyone. Leave your car here and you are in very very good hands.

Very expensive and took weeks to repair my car. Took them 4 days for a diagnosis.they're closed on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). They hold your car for days and park your car out on the public streets. RUN. DO NOT GO THERE. RUN

I couldn't be more happier with their service. Check engine light was on for almost 2 weeks got it diagnosed and no mechanic couldn't figure out the problem. Went to Aamco and boom they found the problem and fixed the problem. My car is driving so smooth with no issues. Thank you so much.

I would never use this company in my life! First of all, I went there because of the reviews I read on here but my experience ended up being the total opposite. I will keep this review simple. Poor customer service and car not ready as promised.

Manager marco’s customer service is very bad.i used to go to this shop all the time. I probably spend on this shop more than 5,000$ but i stop going there because of this guy. Also they’re very unprofessional. Owner chris is very good guy but sorry chris because of this guy marco you loose you’re regular customer.

I’m keep it short and straight to the point. I came into these guys because of a water pump leak and was told I needed to change my entire water pump which I did and paid $2500 for. Throughout the fixing of my car I was told the timing belt would be changed. I got my car back after about a little over a week. I had a check engine light that came on and took it to another mechanic to get the car diagnosed when I was informed my crankshaft and cam shaft sensors needed to be replaced upon the mechanic fixing the issue i was asked when my timing belt was last charge and I told them in October of 2020. They told me my timing belt was never changed and it should have been changed when the water pump was put in. I called Anthony the owner and explained the situation and he pretty much denied that he told me a timing belt would be put in the car and pretty much was covering up the fact that they didn’t fulfill the job they were paid $2500 for. I would say to anyone take your car to a place where you actually getting what you paid for. They got my money and didn’t fix the problem. I’m truly disappointed and upset and will not use their phones service in the future.

Very honest and down to earth people and do the job right. I own a stick shift Audi that needed a clutch done back in June of 2020 and I've had 0 issues since then with my clutch replacement true appreciate the staffing there Anthony took care of all my cars issues at a reasonable price. 5 stars I highly recommend!

I go here because of bad customer care and bad experience in the Yonkers location. I was seeking to do an oil change on my Cadillac in which needs an oil change (asap) and also was a quarter less, Instead, the person on that location send me 15 miles away from Yonkers to the Bronx location. I call Anthony (manager) to explain the situation that was giving me such anxiety and stress.
Anthony help me professionally and very helpful matter, (no worries or hassle) waiting for me, at my arrival I feel protected because he has given me confidence on the matter.
All personal here are very respectful and kind.
I will consider recommending this place to anyone. Is a five-star location.

Went here cause my car had low transmission fluid and figured it needed a transmission fluid change. I arrived on time for my appointment, I noticed from walking in the terrible service from their manager. I needed a mask, he made sure to rub the mask thoroughly before handing me it. I guess making sure it’s real. Then told me I had to wait 4 hours to get seen. I told them that’s too long, he then told me I’d have to wait a hour and they’ll tell me what’s going on. I came back on time to wait another almost 90min because they couldn’t find my keys or paperwork to be told I was giving a diagnosis of my car and was told I couldn’t get a transmission fluid change because they don’t fix the problems of the codes. Which made no sense. So i left and went to Bruckner Blvd and brown place and got serviced. I would honestly rate this place -5 stars if I could. Good luck ps. This is my first review ever

My husband has a problem confronting Marcos and Anthony so I try to remain calm, but there is always an issue when they allegedly repair our vehicle and it has to be returned and Pay more/additional money. One Saturday they told us they were working on our vehicle and guess what! They were Closed and Lied about it. Totally not feeling them at all.

The guys at Aamco Bronx local are very knowledgeable about cars. Helped my wife and I to the MAX! They are very time efficient and make sure you get everything you want done at a great rate. I recommend them to any and everyone cause you’ll definitely be pleased with their work.

After receiving an expensive repair bill from Pep Boys, the mechanics at Aamco definitely came to my aid. They explained everything to me and even showed me my car battery that needed to be changed. I even returned for my yearly inspection. I want to make sure that my car is safe for me and my family and I know I can drive with relief to know that the mechanics at Aamco took great care of my car and ensured it’s safety. I highly recommend everyone to go there, they are so nice and so welcoming.

I came here about three weeks ago after reading some positive reviews. My transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. After being quoted a ridiculous amount at a Subaru dealership, I came here for a second opinion. I was seen the same day that I called. No appointment was required and was seen promptly at no extra charge. The team was welcoming and friendly. Anthony was honest about the issue, offered some options and made a recommendation that best suited my car's needs. I was charged half of what I would've paid elsewhere. I received my car within a week and my Subie is now running smoothly. They also offer car inspections and other services. I recommend this AAMCO location for their honesty, excellent customer service and fair prices. I will be coming here for all future car maintenance.

Went in for a diagnostics due to what i thought to be a transmission issue; i got told it was idling; and got given a quote; over the phone, after 3 days of living the car in their garage just for diagnostics. I came in only to be told; i do have transmission problems in addition to a whole lot of other engine issues; and it's going to run me over 5 grand to fix.

You will spend a lot of money while they try to figure out what wrong with your vehicle. I ended spending over a $1000 and my car still isn't fixed. They may be good at fixing transmissions, but not auto repairs.

It seems like it's trial and error until they get it right or not, at your expense.

They have a really great staff here.they are a bit pricey but they can get you on a payment plan if you qualify. Marco's the manager, is awesome and will take good care of you.
