Love the food here. Never been disappointed. Great quality! Will definitely continue to dine and order from Mantra.

Buffet was ok but not super great. Food looks very colorful and appetizing, however is bland or very mild

STAY AWAY. This is not Indian food.the best I can say is, this is colored food. I frankly did not expect this place to be authentic, but OMG my food tasted like some tin sauce (not Indian gravy) and boiled veggies…trashed the whole thing

Food is very expensive.
I personally dnt mi d paying that price if I get justifiable quantity in the plate.
I order of paneer appetizer comes with only 3 pieces, seriously for $15 nearly.
We spend almost $150 for 4 people and I haven't felt that I ate to say I enjoyed the food.
Bigger dish plates with less quantity for the expensive price.

Okay restaurant. I have been to better ones. Overly cooked naan. When I asked for a better one, I was told that if anything different it won’t be cooked properly! At that time, I realized that it’s not worth the discussion. Finished dinner, gave 15% tip (why punish the people who work there?) and left. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others. I am sure there are better Indian Cusine restaurants in this area that can live up to your expectations.

Nice place for a 60th birthday party. The appetizers were better than the main course. The fried chicken with onion sauce was the best. The goat curry was a bit salty.

I came here to post an updated review because I went there recently for dinner and enjoyed it. However, I’m surprised to see that my previous review was taken down. It wasn’t a good one. Not fair guys!

Amazing place, Amazing ambience, the staff took us even 10 minutes before the kitchen was about to close, and didn’t rush us. Umar & Wasit were excellent.
Great people. This should be like a Michelin star restaurant.

Coming from another country the food was good, rich in flavors and cooked well. I am not an expert in Indian food but I have eaten food from all over the world and the food was tasty.

Decided to check this place out for a friend's birthday dinner! At first glance, the interior was nice and displayed an elegant atmosphere. We ordered cocktails to cheer - the gin drink was a bit too sweet, but the pomegranate cosmopolitan tasted amazing! Drinks took a bit longer to come to our table, but we were able to munch on some appetizers such as samosas, chicken lollipops (came in a cute bicycle basket) and let's chaat. All tasted great!

For entreé, i ordered the Kandahari Chicken and my friend ordered the chicken tikka masala, which were both very flavorful and tasted delicious! Our server was very friendly and helpful in describing the menu details.

Overall, Mantra was a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend if you're looking to savor Indian cuisine.

Lunch Buffet- it’s a rip off. For $20, they have just 6-7 items. Which Indian restaurant in NJ or US for that matter serves only one chicken Entree for buffet and that’s the only non-vegetarian entree in buffet. And just plain rice. What a waste of time.

The service is good and food is good too but quantity is less compared to other restaurants.

Attended a Diwali dinner here. We had 10+ kids with us and the staff was accommodating and responsive to our requests.

We were a group of 22 went in for dinner. While the lounge area was empty we were not allowed to use it to have a few drinks before we sat down for dinner. We were accommodated in 3 different table. Not a great experience. Also all the chicken appetizers were dry and chewy.

Took my friend to try Indian food for the first time. It was such a good experience for her, the dishes were perfect, their Naan hit the spot and good selections of wine.
There is a small selection to enjoy a cocktail with someone else or friends

Nice restaurant, nice food but the people there were looking at me as i was not allowed to eat in there. The guys looked me from up to down and i am sorry to say but being an Indian and the guys (waiters) too i think were Indian. This is worst form of discrimination I have ever faced in this country ever.

The food was 10 out of 10 just amazing! The customer service was outstanding! Definitely going back. It was sooooo good but don't take my word for it.go and see for yourself.

Ordered over phone looking at their website menu. When I picked up food the price went from $9 for mango shrimp and they charged me $13 for only two shrimp.what a big! Rip off. Will tell people never to go there

Great experience dining at Mantra! Perfect for a nice dinner out. All the curries we got were delicious. Garlic naan is perfect with it. Would come again!

Wonderful staff and consistently excellent food. I haven't been to the restaurant since the beginning of the covid outbreak. I had been going maybec1 a month prior but have been ordering online through thier web site about every 2 weeks. The food is always freshly prepared and hot when delivered.

Some of my favorites are the Saag Paneer, samosas, murgh korma and the Naan. The Mantra lamb chops are awesome as well. I can truly say that I've never had a bad meal. If you've never had Indian food and are not sure, visit the restaurant when they serve the buffet. You can try a multitude of different dishes and decide what you like or dislike. Currently I believe the buffet is served Friday though Sunday during covid but check with them.

The food was delicious! I loved that the owner/manager stopped at tables to personally greet guests.

Horrible food. Very pricey and very small portion. They charge $10.95 for chicken lollipop appetizer and only give 3 pieces. Paid $20 for very small portion of chicken tikka masala. Mostly gravy and very small portion of chicken pieces. Naan was $4.50 each and very dry. Our dishes were all bland… not enough salt or spices. Total rip off! Will not go back.

The waiter was rude. He kept arguing with one of my guests. Also restaurant policy 4 or more are automatic service charge, when most are 6 or more and if you bring your own bottle it is charged by the size of bottle.

Not good food. And moreover not like Indian food. Buffet food is worst on weekends, only two three items.

I'm not from this area and was randomly craving Indian food. Its a little pricey for the portions. But the amazing service and outrageously delicious food absolutely makes up for it.

Ordered roghan josh and nani’s chicken and naan. The worst indian food ever. Roghan josh is filled with tomato sauce. Both dishes taste same. Omg. Big disappointment

Just find out this called kabab as well. We ordered kabab nd this was served on asking server this not kabab he said sir this is kabab.

Mantra is our most favorite spot! Great ambiance! Very welcoming and courteous staff and awesome authentic and delicious quality food! Love presentation and details with lot of personal touches. Management have done phenomenal job! I would certainly recommend everyone to visit and enjoy the great experience!

Before you sit down to eat. I strongly suggest you take a walk around the place look at the food and the servers. Then ask yourself do the dishes look fresh and well prepared? The buffet containers are missing handles. Where else are they taking short cuts. Do the servers look clean, hygienic? I am sure you will come to the right conclusion and walk right back out the door. I did not follow my own instinct and blew away 50 bucks for dry nasty buffet food with unsanitary food handlers. I was also feeling little sick after eating the terrible food. You were warned!

Had authentic Indian dishes and nostalgic tastes - reminded me of India. Will always go to Mantra for the genuine flavor and taste of Indian food -recommend the place to all food lovers - keep up the good work! Go Mantra Go!

Food and experience was great before! Must be under new management because the food was just okay. To top it off, our server was extremely rude! Rude servers trumps good food any day! I won’t be back!

From the moment he greeted us Wasid was in tune with creating an atmosphere and ambiance of elegant professionalism.
At one point we had a beam of blinding light whitewashing the romantic flicks from our candle lit dinner. Wasid retreated outside as it began to rain, he politely informed the customer that he was unwittingly affecting the mood and setting of our date. Resulting in the lights being turned off as the customer awaited their pickup order.
Wasid's attentive, courteous and debonair service breathed an air of exquisite sophistication to a place that is in architectural need.
The restaurant is a must visit, Wasid as the primary reason. You'll be whisked to a time like no other.

I have been frequenting Mantra since it first opened. My experience each time has been amazing. The consistency and quality of the food has been excellent. The ambiance service and the menu has been prefect.

The most delicious Indian cuisine one can find in & around the region! Outgoing servers and managers make the experience even more pleasurable. Great dishes on the menu. They also have a banquet connected to the restaurant which can be used for private parties and function. Highly recommended & one must try

Mantra is an absolute must visit on our trip to NJ. The atmosphere is awesome. Service is great. Staff is very curteous and the food is absolutely delicious.
The cocktail lounge is so welcoming and the bar offers a variety of exotic drinks before a great tasting dining experience.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Every dish I have ever had here has been beautifully plated and delicious. It is upscale dining but with a fast food price tag, doesn't get much better than that! I also love how I can go for a quick bite at lunch or for a longer fancy meal at dinner, great variety! My family and I will be returning whenever we are in the area.

I have had multiple parties at Mantra! To name a few, an engagement party for my son, a retirement party for myself, my niece’s wedding at an outside Venue and a number of poolside parties in my house! They do a fantastic job of presentation and service and delectable food. I love the place. Pradeep does a great job!

I have been to many restaurants in NYC and NJ, but my experience with Mantra Paramus has been excellent! Beautiful ambiance, excellent service and above all the food quality and presentation is beyond anyone’s expectation!

I got introduced to Mantra from some business colleagues and was immediately impressed with the light contemporary feel with hints of India's culture spread throughout. The lunch buffet had a wide range of fresh options, Indian favorites, with several vegetarian options as well. Worth a stop if you are interested in trying something new or list Indian cuisine as one of your favorites.

Worst food & service I ever got in any restaurant. The waiters don’t know how to talk with customers & welcome customers. I don’t think this restaurant even deserve one star.

We used to be a fan of this place, but now it appears they’ve decreased their portion size while still charging what they used to. Tonight, we ordered a shrimp appetizer that was $11 and it was only two shrimp. We used to get the crab tikka masala, but it was replaced with the crab moilee. The original dish used to be served with quality lump crab meat, but now our dishes arrived with about 25% less and the crab was of poor quality. It had the consistency of tuna fish. Definitely not worth $28 a plate. The one thing that was still great was the quality of the cocktails, but you have to do better than that to keep your customers. $105 bill for one appetizer, two entrees and two cocktails would be fine if the quality was there, but sadly it wasn’t even close. I will not be returning

This is a decent spot. We went as a big group. It’s wasn’t as busy. We enjoyed the food. Their tikka platter was great and the deserts were tasty. Would probably try again if I was in the area.

I made online reservations for 1pm July 11 2021 to celebrate our anniversary. No one seemed to be aware of the reservation. A wedding party was booked in the same area. Their laughter, shouting and loud music made it impossible to have a conversation. We were looking forward to the first brunch buffet offering since the covid pandemic. In the past food has been excellent. We missed the buffet and were excited to see it being offered this weekend. Unfortunately it was a huge disppointment. The tandoori chicken very dry, masala chicken tough, lentils watery, dessert had clumps, etc. My husband spoke to the onsite manager. He explained the party had been booked. He was unable to deal with the noise. We have been a very steady customer before and after covid. Not anymore.

Ordered chicken lollipops and chicken Kolhapuri. Lollipop was tasty and kolhapuri could be better. Overall tasty food

Food was good, service was good. Would’ve loved a bit more flavor and flexibility with the menu (“Can I have this salad with meat? ” “Oh no. That’s a vegetarian dish. ” Not “We don’t usually make it with meat - how about a side of chicken tikka masala? ”).
