EL Viejo Fred Restaurant

The ambiance is great! I've been there for lunch and dinner on multiple occasions and everything I've eaten was great from empanadas to tostones.from chicken, to salmon, to steak! Everything was a hit! The women are beautiful, friendly, courteous, and hospitable! The portions are great and so are the prices. I promise if u go there you'll always go back! If u love rice and beans (maybe a little compo) like I do don't miss this place! It's really a hidden gem (for now)! Thank you ladies for a great experience with great food every time! P. S.somebody grandmother has to be cooking there the food is too good

Had T-bone steak and yellow rice and my friend had chicken soup with arroz con gandules. Everything was phenomenal! Great taste, generous portions. I loved the ambiance and cleanliness. Everyone very attentive. So close to home also. I will definitely be returning back.

Ordered a take out, everything was delicious. Sancocho, Cuban Sandwich, oxtails. Highly recommend.

Food is indeed fantastic, to me very authentic Dominican food, they serve it very fancy and make something special with the plates, really worth the visit! And they are also very helpful and friendly.

Stumbled upon this place after seeing a sign in king George’s road. Wonderful first experience. We wanted to try everything. We ended up starting with the chiccarones and one crab stuffed empanada. Both were fantastic and the amount of crab meat in the empanada was amazing for $3. Ordered mofongo with chicken and the steak with rice and beans. We couldn’t finish our plates but it was delicious and we will be back. Place was clean, a lot of tables and there was plenty of takeout orders going out while we were there.

I must say the food and service was amazing really made me feel at home and the food brings back childhood memories of the food I would have at family functions. They definitely will have my business and have already recommended them to family and friends

El Viejo Fred catered my baby shower for 110 people and the food was absolute perfection! Everything from the rice to the meats and the vegetarian options were completely GONE! Everyone loved the food and asked where we had gotten it! Thank you Fred and Deni!

If you don't know about this place come to fords NJ this the by far one of the top Restaurants i considered home they haven't missed anything at all. The are the best spanish food in town

Definitely a place to stop by and eat at. Service is amazing and the food is even better… if you’re in town definitely come by and eat here it’s definitely worth it
