Had my vehicle towed there to have them investigate the noises it was making. They called after doing an inspection and said it was my rear brakes causing the noises and shaking I had going on. Paid 650$ for the new brakes and picked up the car shortly after. I didn’t even make it 2 miles before the noises and shaking were far worse than they ever had been. So I looked under the car myself and quickly noticed one of my axles had separated from the differential. I had the car towed back after explaining I found the issue myself. They refuse to refund or discount the brakes that didn’t have anything to do with the actual issue. I talked to the district manager as well and he said the guy who did the car has been a mechanic longer than I’ve been alive. Which does not make me feel better because I still found the problem myself with no formal shop experience. They wanted 2700$ to replace the differential that had been destroyed due to their negligence. I would not trust them to do anything thoroughly.

Midas on Battlefield Rd in Springfield, MO is awesom! I was traveling from Branson back to IL just South of Springfield on the Highway when the pipe from my muffler broke. The pipe was dragging on the highway causing sparks…I was afraid to even drive it the 5 miles into Springfield thinking it could cause a fire or something! After several attempts to find places to fix it (Veterans Day weekend, shops were closed on Saturday) I called Midas hoping they would be open. They were so kind and understanding and OPEN! They said to bring it in immediately and they would fix it and get me back on the road in a few hours, before dark. The guys in the front desk/shop were so friendly and understanding and they squeezed me in. I so appreciated their immediate assistance. I highly recommend the Midas on Battlefield Rd! They were professional, explained what was needed to fix the muffler (I had thought they just needed to weld the pipe back to the muffler) and did a terrific job with a very good price for a complete muffler system.

Midas has always been great to me I've used them for about 11 years now they have a couple really good mechanic start ask for Starbuck at the battlefield store he's great

It is under new Management for about a month now.
We were 2 hrs from home when our caliper locked up and fortunately we were 2 miles from the Midas on Battlefield in Springfield MO. They were great at helping us and getting our vehicle fixed quickly. Their main concern was our safety in getting back home. The manager and assistant manager communicated well, were personable and clearly explained any issues with our vehicle. They kept us updated on the progress, offered suggestions, and informed us of what to expect. It is rare to have a good experience when dealing with automotive issues, but they made it truly easy and hassle free.

Aj, was extremely rude to me. I had my car in to change the headlights and when it was finished my check engine light was on. My check engine light has never been on in my vehicle. I asked him to run a diagnosis since it wasn't like that before and he told me I'd have to wait over an hour. Then I asked if there was a better time tomorrow and he said if I could tell the future I would. I love midas but not AJ, definitely don't recommend this location.

These guys are the example of shady shop. Took my vehicle in for inspection and they took my truck all the way to the back of their shop where I couldn’t see a thing. Next thing you know their trying to say I need to replace all my ball joints. And they fail my inspection. Tried to charge $800 in labor. Ran my truck up the road to Firestone and asked them to look it over and mentioned the same thing, and they come out saying their not sure what this shops talking about but my vehicle passes inspection with flying colors. Would not recommend this shop to anyone.

The first guy we got was not professional. He told me he would have it done by Friday morning and all that was needed was a rim and a tire. Then called me back the next day to tell me two lights were out. We denied him fixing the lights because we knew they weren’t out, we had just checked it that day. When the day came to when I had to pick it up, the guy wasn’t even there and no one knew about the car because he didn’t say anything when he left. Then when we picked it up both lights worked perfectly fine and no one else knew about the lights not working in the first place. However the second guy who I spoke to at the end was nice and made sure it got done. Don’t know who the first man was but he definitely tried to scam us.

Tom is a great mechanic I had him do a motor swap in my 2003 dodge Dakota and it runs amazing great quality work and great time. Thanks guys u are awesome.

The manager Toni took great care of me. He patiently listened and explained all the things that are wrong with the car. Would totally recommend using their services!

Midas was so honest, they told me I didn't need an inspection due to certain laws in place due to my year of car & my mileage. Was awesome.

I went to get my oil changed today and was told that there was 2 in front of me, which was OK.they told me it would be about 2 before they could get to me. After sitting for 3+ hours waiting for my appointment I went back in at 2 I was told that they didn't have me on the books, the first guy I talked to had failed to write the appointment down. They told me that they were to busy to get me in today and it would be Tuesday before they could do it. They made a mistake and wasn't interested in fixing their mistake. Very poor customer service. I will not be going back to a place that can't take care of customers.

Midas took care of my problem (blown left axle bearing) immediately and professionally. The Tech showed me the problem, explained the remedy and seemed very knowledgeable. The Service Managers explained the need for putting my Safety first (vehicle was immediately put on the lift) and put calls in to the local shops for the needed parts. Once parts arrived, the repairs were completed and we experienced a safe ride home. Thank you Midas!

We brought in our Suburban for an inspection & check up since we purchased from a used car lot. There was so much wrong with it that Midas didn't even charge us because they felt so bad we fell into a trap. I appreciate their honestly and kindness.

Tom did an excellent job! I drove in with a pos and left with the same pos but ran so much better! They broke it down barny style for me to understand what was wrong with my car. I'm happy I went with them to get my car fixed.

Yesterday I went to three places as I needed an oil change and a vehicle inspection. Midas on Battlefield was the last place I stopped and it should have been the first. I went bvb to Rick's automotive on Campbell only to be told their inspectors were booked for the WEEK. I then drove down to Plaza Tire where I was told it could not be done that day. I offered to stop it off this morning and he said he could PROBABLY get it done. I said I cannot leave my vehicle with you all day for probably and was told that is the best he could say.
So off I went to Midas. I spoke with John C. He not only got it inspected but the oil changed as well. Plus he replaced a turn signal bulb that was out for me. (didn't know it was out) All within an hour! This was at 4: 15 and I picked it up at 5: 15.
Excellent customer service and super friendly guy. I do not drive new vehicles but I DO keep mine maintained. You can bet next time I need service work done I will take it to Midas.

Got quoted for my brake lines a price I was fine paying that or more but then I got the truck towed there which cost me $150 left it there for 2 hours finally got a call saying they won't even mess with it so then why did you say you could do it? ! Then had to tow all the way to another shop! They have rude employees and horrible service I will never
again try to take any of my vehicle's there ever again!

We needed a simple tire patch. The guy said there would be an hour and a half wait. With a 6 year old and almost 2 year old we told him we would call around first to see if somewhere else could get us in faster. He smirked and made a snide remark and walked off. There was no need for him to be so rude! We simply know our children would have struggled to be there that long. We understand the tire shops get busy. Needless to say, we left and went somewhere where our business was appreciated!

Absolutely horrible! Went in with some specific things that we knew needed fixed on our vehicle. We asked to have the master switch on the windows replaced. They didnt do it and instead only replaced one back window switch. When asked why they didnt replace the correct switch, he said all the windows worked fine. They certainly do not work fine as the master switch doesnt work half the windows in the car! They did a wheel alignment which we did not ask them to do and charged us $100 for it. Oil change was $60 and brakes were over $500. They couldnt fix our stereo system and tried to say it isnt broken (we have blown speakers). But worst of all, they broke our drivers seat adjuster switch! It was fine when we took the car in, and was broken when we got it back. They couldnt get the part for it and we had to wait over a week for them to order it, which in the meantime I could not drive my car because the seat wouldn't go back. Now my mom is stuck sitting at Midas for the next 3 hours while they fix the seat which is costing a whooping $900 to FIX WHAT THEY BROKE! IM FURIOUS! They shouldnt charge us a dime for their mistake. I will NEVER go back to this place. Plus we still have to find someone else to fix the window switch. What a nightmare.

I had a state inspection that I scheduled. I arrived on time and it took over 45 minutes but everyone was friendly so that was a plus

They fixed my car and gave me amazing discounts, warranties, and good service. I am really appreciative of the assistance I received and will be going back.

These guys were honest and very helpful pulled me out and explained about my car and didn't try to have me do anything that didn't need done will get work done on my car there.

Rotated my tires whole front end is shaking been calling them for a week to try getting back in there to reverse issue will not I have not answered the phone at all ever

Honestly incredibly disappointed. Came in with a $20 oil change coupon and still cost $60 even after the coupon. They sneakily add "labor" cost on top of the oil change price. Staff was friendly, but seemed to be completely uninterested in helping me. After being seen approaching counter, the three workers continued to chat it up and when I was finally helped the words used were "sorry we were just having a little pow wow. " Would not recommend from my experience, $80-85 is WAYYY too much to be charging for an oil change.

Great customer service! Went in for an oil change, didn't wait more than 30 minutes and the prices are fair. Also noticed that if there is something wrong with your car, they pull you out there to look at it yourself and they explain to you what exactly is wrong. Only so many places do that.

Decided to take one of my SUV’s here for an oil change. Don’t really know what happened but about a week later boom head gasket blew. Junk car now.

Never had a bad issue here. For that matter, I have never had any issue here. They have always done what was asked and beyond.

Got brakes changed. Asked to see brake pads because I didn’t believe they needed changed. They days “they have already been thrown in the trash. ”

I was traveling through and a rock hit my shock and shattered it spewing hydronic fluid all over. I wa towing a trailer as well. I called and the had me come right in. I was able to disconnect my Frazier in their large lot. They had me ina Nd our in 30 minutes. Service was amazing!

I took my car in for an oil change and wanted my brakes and tires checked. They checked my brakes and found that my rotors needed to be replaced. I believe John is the employee I dealt with. He was very attentive while I was explaining what I was experiencing while driving and then he took the time to explain what they had found, what needed to be done, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. The lobby/ waiting area was very clean and cool. My experience was wonderful.

I purchased a vehicle that had been inspected 3 months prior. I brought it here to get inspected, and was quoted $1600 to get it approved and another $400 if I wanted it to continue running properly. Of course I called around to get quotes, and was quoted $800 total from the first shop, and $650 from the second shop (yes, $1350 less). When I took it in to the shop that quoted $650, they brought it in the stall, and had it in there a min, then came and asked me why I wanted all these parts replaced. I told them I needed it to pass inspection. They told me there was NOTHING WRONG! King Midas sure can make gold out of everything he touches. Never again.

Update: Nope. I'm good. I will change my review in the next 2 years if any of the things I was told were wrong, go wrong. I will still leave the part about you being 2.5 times the price of other shops. I wondered why during refund season you were the only shop without at least an hr.wait. Now I know.

Great experience here. Met the owner Jason, has a great conversation with him. They where busy but worked me in and saved me a bunch on money on the repairs I needed that was quoted by another shop. The mechanic actually took me out to my car and explained everything I believe his name was Tom. This will be my new stop for repairs as they made me feel appreciated and seemed liked they cared about my cars well being.
