Lake Paradise Resort

It is a ways off main hwy. I didn't stay there just went to the pool which was nice not crowded and customer service was great at the pool and the office/shop.

This place is a hidden gem. The owners are making a ton of great updates and it shows. We went fishing, swimming, played mini golf, had ice cream at the ice cream shop, played in the game room, saw a great firework show, AND all on the property! I wish we stayed one extra day for the live music. When the restaurant is open there will be no reason to leave. It's a really cool place and property. We will definitely be back!

We didn't stay. We just went to the pool and the kids enjoyed it. I didn't get any pictures this time but we plan on going back next summer!

They have really cleaned this place up and are still working on more concrete pads near the lake.

Just bought an RV. 1st time camping there. Very helpful and very kind.pet friendly which was a huge plus for us. The pool was Huge.nothing was too expensive.would definitely recommend.great fishing kids had a blast

We looked a lot before we decided to make this our seasonal lake home for our RV.
Shelby and the gang are really making headway toward restoring Lake Paradise to it's former glory after years of neglect by previous owners.
This is a very spacious, reasonably quiet, attractively priced home away from home for us.
Give them a visit.you may just find yourself wanting to stay.

Pool was very Clean, Other than having some dirt On the bottom which it’s normal. Only thing I didn’t like was not being able to eat by the pool. But they have an air conditioned area we’re you can being up it lunch and eat. I only checked the pool so not sure about the rest of the park. But it’s a nice all in one place.

We always have a blast! Prices are really good for all day admission. You can come and go as you need. They have a nice little store so if you forget anything or just need a snack they've got you covered!

Avoid at all cost. A tent on the side of the road would have been a better choice. The owners relatives who watch over the pool act like immature children. The guy that was there actually threatened my child acting like he was going to hit him, who isn't even half the guys size. My kid was in tears and ready to go home. We were on our first full day during this stay. It was horrible from that point on. We have been going there for years. The new owners have no business attempting to run a family resort. They will try making you feel like any issues are your fault and flat out call you a liar. Don't go to lake Paradise if you don't have to. Seriously just stay home.

It's the best getaway in Missouri so far. Staff is friendly and the view this place has to offer is.well I'll let you be the judge. Swing by and I promise you won't be disappointed. Staff is great and attentive.

Update: Full hookups for both 30amp and 60, the restaurant is about to be open, great security by the entrance (especially at night), and the pool is huge when opened for the summer. No other campground I've visited within 50 mile radius can compare to what this one has and offers, which is beauty in nature at it's finest with unbeatable rates. New owners are kick-starting this campground from the ruins it was in. You're in for a treat. Thanks Shelby and staff, keep up the awesome work.

This is a awesome place to just get away for a day or a long weekend my kid love going out there fishing and swimming and just being outdoors

Wow! Such a great place for family fun getaways short or long! Lake fun close to home! Camping, Rvs and trailer slots available fishing, hiking or walking, humongous swimming pool, small store on site, large outside picnic pavilion, game room for kiddos Who could ask for anything more! Full of so many of my own childhood memories! So happy to see it coming alive again! Got a chance to speak in person to the new owners myself. Such a great family and they are equally as excited and motivated to bringing it back to life! I went out and looked around myself, and clearly they have been working hard, and still working! The place is coming along and looking amazing! Looking foward to being able to create some new memories, now with grandchildren!

Me and my children live out here full-time in a camper. We personally love it! The new owners are working hard every day to update and upgrade the facility.my kids catch fish daily out of their fishing ponds which have lots of fish and some of them are quite large.

Even on busy weekends it’s still remarkably quiet. Very peaceful. And everybody here is friendly! There is plenty of public restrooms available and out houses. The swimming pool is absolutely huge and we look forward to it being open soon. The sewers have been upgraded, there are tons of spots available. I compared the prices to places like KOA and this was the cheapest around. Utility hook ups for long-term campers are included in the price of your lot rent, one of the local campgrounds sounded cheaper until I added up the utility expenses that were not included. As for me I personally love it here my children love it.couldn’t ask for better.

It was a beautiful weekend. Park is starting to look really good. The owners are delightful and always ready to help. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

We loved it! Prices were great. Staff was very friendly. The new owners are working hard to bring it back. I love the lakes and wilderness aspect and that it’s not too far from home.

Very rundown with rusted nails and railroad ties definitely not holding structures in place, roads are terrible, very little grass with just mud and dirt, trash everywhere (a woman's shoe, a rusted knife blade, cigarette butts, and more at our campsite), no wi-fi, extremely overpriced ($800 a month, the most expensive park we have stayed at over 6 states of travel) and some of the neighbors were questionable. The restaurant and putt putt and playgrounds were all either shut down or not where the outdated map said they were (an old metal slide on it's side for one of the playgrounds on the map). The lakeview was pretty when we came in and left but couldn't see it from our site so not enough of a positive factor to outweigh just the awfulness of the rest.

New owners brag about "upgrades". Worse then when the old owners were there. If you are just looking for an over priced weekend "seasonal rent" this is for you! Building smelled sewer leak. Owners did not even want to take us on a tour said ill give you a map! Prices have nearly doubled price.

So we haven't got to check out the amenities yet. But love the set up and the area. Took the kids fishing and hiking for a little while. We have a small cabin booked for July they look very small but we will make it work. The website doesn't have pictures when we stay I'll take some.

I grew up here in the late 90s/ early 00s with my grandparents. Whenever i came back 08/30/2020 it was pretty well kept! It's a camp ground so there was obviously going to be /some/ tall grass.i personally think some of the negative feedback sounds kind of "kareny".
I rented a cabin and it was a great experience! I do wish there was more bathrooms/cabins with bathrooms.

Very secluded and peaceful. The new owners have done a fantastic job. Five lakes to choose from and a monster size swimming pool! The restaurant and mini golf will be open soon.

This place is awesome! They are doing alot of renovations and it just keeps getting better and better. It has a huge pool, rv camping, tent camping, multiple lakes to fish in, an ice cream parlor, a softball court, mini golf, they rent golf carts for exploring the massive compound and its even got its own restraunt! And the people who own it are really good people who do alot for their community!

New owners working hard to make this a great family campground/resort. New restaurant coming, MASSIVE SWIM POOL, opens memorial day!

Most restrooms were locked. Roads need redone. Sewer hookup was at the rear of the sites so you'll need extensions if you want full hookup. Most attractions are abandoned or closed down. Hiking trails need redone. Most spots are on a hill so the rotten picnic tables weren't on a flat surface and are wobbly. Moss covering most of the lake next to us so the boat oars were constantly covered with moss. Overpriced for the quality of camping if you ask me.

A longtime patch of Paradise in the east side of Kansas City - a real rural patch of getaway in a concrete jungle.trees surrounding small lakes with hilly terrain and the largest pool in Missouri.

New owners have been doing a lot to bring this place back to life. The pool area would be great to use. Sites are smallish * uneven, nice fishing for kids.
