Without a doubt the worst Almond Chicken EVER! BREADED TO COVER UP THE SPEICES OF ANIMAL YOUR EATING! Crazy if it is chicken!? !? !? Thank you very little!

Great job with the Christmas dinner rush! The amount of orders they put out while I was waiting was really impressive. Our dinner was good and everyone enjoyed their meal. Thanks to everyone on the Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant team tonight! Order time was long today but they got everything correct and they handled the rush well. For the first timers, this is a carry out business. There is minimal seating for those waiting to pick up orders. They do not have a dining room.

The beef egg foo young was awesome- the pad tai didn’t have a lot of flavor and no peanuts on it. We didn’t care for the egg rolls - Wing Lauks egg rolls are much better. But will definitely get the beef egg foo young again

The food was the worst food I have EVER had! Greasy.everything tasted like lard. NO FLAVOR! I called them.they said sorry. $45 down the drain! I would never eat there again.we usually order from the one in waterford and it is EXCELLENT!

This place is the worst I ordered threw doordash and I hong kong person couldn't help add items to the otder.she just hung up on me. I won't order from this place ever again. The person was rude when I called back to ask why she hung on me
. I have never seen anything like this. I will make sure knowone goes there.terrible.

Just had this for the first time and the last time. Egg drop waaayyy too thick of a texture almost jello like, the egg roll tasted like the vegetables was washed with soap, and I had the general Tao chicken it was okay, but man the fried rice just taste like an oily brown version of white rice-no flavor.

Normally I would give this restaurant 3 stars. Today it gets one because of wrong ingredients. I like the cashew nut chicken. I am not a peanut fan (plus my brother developed an allergy to them later in life so I watch my intake of them). Anyway I was eating my lunch and noticed i bit in to a peanut. I thought it was a fluke and kept eating.then a couple more. This did not hurt me anymore than my not liking the flavor but to those of you that have allergies please make sure that the correct item is on/in your dish. Dear owners - if you are out of an item it is better to not substitute the item with something different or if you have the phone number call the person and ask first.

I ordered shrimp fried rice. When I opened the container I had shrimp, tasteless rice, and a few chunks of white onions. I’ve lived in Taiwan and worked in China. Shrimp fried rice is made with shrimp, carrots, peas, eggs, green onions, and flavored with sesame oil. This was tasteless and I would have returned it if it wasn’t so late.

First time there and they got the order wrong
zero tolerance for that will not be going back

I've been eating here for the last 4 or 5 years sometimes it's good sometimes not but today I paid $20 for garbage. But most of the time the food is awesome I love the beef with broccoli combo

They just allowed someone to steal my order. I paid 75$ for the food and they let someone walk in and take my food. 0/5 worst place ever. They clearly don’t care.

Update: Yep! It is the same address for this one. I’m not shocked that you’re trying to deflect because when we called to complain at first your staff acted like they had no idea then suddenly they reminded. Give me a break.

I wish I could give zero stars. We ordered take out, sweet & sour chicken. I think it was made in bulk last week. Tiny slivers of chicken with tons of breading. It’s so dried out it’s Inedible! The jelly type sauce can’t even soften it. I called to let them know our order didn’t have the vegetables with it. She said “there’s onions in you rice” (which is also dry and hard). Never again!

Have literally ordered from here for 15 years. Their strong point was delivery. Extremely fast and was always just off stove but now with only using third party delivery I guess I will no longer be a customer. Disappointing. Especially since I always made sure to give great tips and third parties limit the amount.

We just ordered through Door Dash. Won Ton soup tasted like water. Egg rolls were plain, sauce didnt help. They forgot a meal. All the food was bland and not very good. I have never posted a review before but was so disappointed I did this review for first time. Kids wouldn't even eat it and they eat anything!

I ordered the orange chicken combo. Food was good and fresh! My only complaint is the person who took my order had no customer service skills and wasn't very friendly.

I'm not a picky eater at all I usually will eat anything but when you take a bite of beef chow mein and it tastes like straight up ammonia that's where I draw the line. Luckily we ordered through doordash and they helped us to easily get our $50 back on our order but I don't think we'll ever come back. Not sure if they were aware that maybe their food had gotten bad or cross contaminated or what but If I sent out food knowing it smelled/tasted heavily of ammonia/urine I would not be surprised at losing my customers.

Poor phone etiquette and customer service, wasn't able to finish saying each item before an angry, "anything else".

Food is good.

Today was my first time trying this place and the service has been great I had a long day, I came in pretty close to close and as a server I understand how frustrating that may be. I still needed to get dinner however and it was the only thing open. I appreciate good service in spite of having a late customer.

They gave me the wrong food I have a receipt and all and they refuse to help terrible customer service

Not good chicken chow mein flavorless with no noodles. Fried rice was dry with little flavor. General Tso chicken was better then the other dishes but still sub par would not recommend. Do yourself a favor walk next door to Kroger and pick any frozen meal from the freezer section because literally anything you pick will be better then this garbage

I’ve been ordering here for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Large quantities, always tastes good, and they’re open late! No complaints.

The food is average. It’s priced ok for the taste. There’s a lot better choices in the area. The food is just ok at best. The girl that takes the orders is rude and awful to try and ask anything about the menu from. You can tell she hates being there. She should not be in customer service at all. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. There’s so many places in this area this would be the last place I would choose.

Friendly service, best homemade food in town. Egg rolls are really crispy and good staff members are amazing and really welcoming.

Decent food but dont bother ordering it for delivery. Its a 50% chance if it will show up, and they wont call or let you know your food is never coming. When you call to inquire, they act like they have no idea.

Got the chicken pad thai and sesame chicken. Possibly the worst chinese food I ever had. The fried rice had no flavor and tasted vary salty and starchy. The pad thai was horrible as well. Ate about 1/5th of it and put the rest out for my dog to eat and he didn't even eat it. Horrible food.
*Update took food back to store and contacted doordash and was issued a full refund.

Very tasty Chinese food. Tried some fancy ones but this little restaurant has the better taste food.

Always a good place to eat, like their food alot. However, last time I was there the employees were not wearing masks, even when I walked in I was barely acknowledged.

So excited to finally have a delivery service (DoorDash) that travels all the way out to our house. We have been trying different restaurants and could not have been more disappointed with this delivery. Sadly, while the dishes lacked any real taste, and we had even requested additional heat, and the textures were kinda gross. The fried rice was just a lump of mushy starch with zero flavor. What was worse is that it looked like they ran out of chicken and had to improvise for my Kung Pow chicken. I have attached photos of what looks like a chicken spine cut up into inch size pieces instead of real chicken meat. Come on man, call me if you cannot fulfill the dish I ordered and I would have changed it. Too make it worse, we did not have any Soy Sauce in the house so I am not sure if would have helped and we ended up throwing 85% of the $62 meal out.

Best oriental in all of Oakland county! Possibly the east side of Michigan! Never once have I had my meals made wrong or never cook to perfection. Super friendly and always timely. I have consistently been coming back to Honk Kong for 7+ years and now that I moved, whenever I’m in town I stop here. There Pepper Steak, Wonton Soup, all the fried rice and lo mein combos are perfect. 100% recommend. Try the fried dumplings!

Nice people. All cabbage and celery in the egg rolls;no bean sprouts or other veggies which was disappointing. The wonton soup was flavorful with plenty of wontons. The Mongolian beef was mostly onions (almost raw) and very little beef, no other vegetables. Same with the fried rice; only onions and rice. If you like onions and no other vegetables this is the place for you.

I love their food; a local favorite. I usually get vegetarian egg rolls and Broccoli with garlic sauce. Yum! And I'm so glad they deliver! No reason to pay more for delivery with Doordash.

I’ve ordered several times for delivery and it’s always been awesome. Today I ordered sweet and sour chicken and the almond boneless chicken combination plates. When the lady told me the price I said is that the lunch special? So I said I’d just get the lunch special. Then I changed my mind and decided to get the combo plates. The lady didn’t get irritated at all. She was very nice. I then said I wanted pineapple and green pepper in my sweet and sour sauce and I wanted some hot mustard and a menu. It was very quickly delivered and everything was right. They gave me a very generous portion of the sweet and sour sauce. The sweet and sour chicken was superb and the almond boneless chicken was so crispy and the sauce was a delight. Great place to order from!

It is amazing went there and had their Orange chicken and chow mein (noodles) with some white rice it was delicious To be honest I think it’s better than Panda Express and any other place I’ve went to. The chicken was sweet and tender and noodles was soooo good I can’t explain how good really recommend and will visit again:)

Hong Kong restaurant has the best Chinese food in the greater Detroit area, period! My wife and I have lived in Macomb, Harrison Twp, Wixom and now White Lake. We were a little skeptical at first but decided to order. Ignore all the negative reviews, as this place really knows how to deliver the best Chinese experience that there is to offer. The soups are amazing along with most entrees (Almond Chicken and Kung Pao) (egg rolls are to die for). Very highly recommend this place to anyone!

Was definitely impressed by their food and quick service. The almond boneless is HIGHLY recommended. Will be back.:)

I’ve been there for 13 years. They have Very good foods, and there food is always delicious, and the people there are kind.

Bland bland bland. Every single meal our party ordered said it was super bland, no flavour at all. Incredibly mediocre Chinese. On top of that, one of our orders arrived incorrectly, instead of shrimp lo mein, we got chicken.
We ordered through Doordash. I also tipped the driver so the entire meal was quite a let down. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

I am addicted to their almond chicken sauce! It reminds me of a British chips curry sauce. If you're used to getting a pale chicken stock gravy look elsewhere, but you're missing out if you don't try their style.

Best food in town! I've been coming here for 15 years now.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Not because the food was almost tasteless or because they messed up our delivery order to the point it was something I couldn’t even eat, but because when we called to straighten out the order they offered us a $2 in store credit and would not resell we. We have a young child and it’s hard for us to leave the house that’s why we ordered in in the first place. I mean come on, can’t even at least give us a full credit for the meal? They went out of their way to put a flier on our door and we decided to give it a try and this is what we get. This is the first review ive ever posted for anywhere that’s how irritated I am that now I have to now spend another 20-30 if I want to order food for the night.

They responded to my review. Calling me a “first time customer” and that they simply forgot a bag of noodles that was the reason for the $2 credit. Just to clarify, the order was WRONG. Not missing something, wrong. And that it was store policy. Besides even if that was it, if you forget the noodles for a Chinese dish isn’t that kind of important when the dish is 90% noodles? But again. It was wrong. Completely different dish than ordered and we gave the driver a good tip and all. What good does a $2 credit for noodles for a dish that I didn’t receive do me?

I order here once in awhile, at most places I always get almond chicken, while I don't like the dipping sauce they give for the almond chicken here, the chicken is still very good. I'm not used to having Onions mixed with my rice, but it's not bad, it's just a good thing I like onions. I'll definitely be back again.

I have only gone here about 4 times, but they have always been nice and we really like their food.
