Super fun place to visit. I love all the tea accessories that they have around the shop that are available for purchase. The tea was very good and they are quick at whipping it up.

Don't go here for Boba, its definitely not their thing. It's an option I guess? But that's about it.

My friend had us walk down here and I'm so glad she did. The atmosphere alone is worth the trip, the lofi music made me want to sit there all day. The display of gorgeous teapots made me want to buy a whole set. There's koi fish designs on the ceiling lights and beautiful wood tables. It made me feel relaxed to just sit and have a drink, pretty much the exact opposite of how hectic a Starbucks feels. The staff was super nice and friendly, and the milk tea boba was great. I even got a second one for the road lol.

This place was super cute and the staff was helpful. I had never been there before and they were so kind and walked me through the process. I went around 5: 30pm on a Tuesday night. It’s small but not claustrophobic. And the tea was delicious!

I had the dirty chai (chai with a shot of espresso). It wasn’t the best but also wasn’t bad. It tasted pretty watered down and I don’t know if that’s cause of the chai or the espresso.
The shop was nice with plenty of places to sit and study/work.

Amazing Bubble tea, got the Vanilla Chai Penguin Tea with a scoop of tapioca pearls and I was in heaven

A great place in royal oak. Only have gone once so far, but I definitely plan on going back here frequently.

The place was decent, but quaint. Neither server was familiar with the herbal tea recipes. They may had have been new, or just didn't make them often, but we made it work! I had tumeric with soy milk, apple flakes & honey cold.

James and Amanda are some of the most knowledgeable people about tea that I have ever met! The service is always incredible and I have been enjoying goldfish as my go to tea place for months! Don't be afraid to talk to staff about recommendations because they will get you exactly what you are in the mood for!

Adorable little shop! Stopped there with my boyfriend for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and immediately fell in love. Very friendly staff, and the live they put into their work is absolutely amazing!

Great place for tea and coffee. The staff is always helpful with giving suggestions. Some seating now open. Still not the same vibe as before pandemic but it's getting there.

So many options, including dairy free options, and the staff is extremely friendly and nice. I will definitely be stopping here for a drink any time I am downtown! The tapioca pearls are perfect here!

Great place! Love the ambience inside it's so cute. The Taro Milk tea is some of the most refreshing I have ever had, drinking it while exploring Royal oak was so much fun. The boba is on the softer side but still very yummy! The service was amazing the cashier said hello and goodbye to everyone! Sadly there is no free parking super close by or at least none I could find, but that's every store in the area. There are so many flavors I could probably come 50 times and get something different everytime. I very much recommend as an after dinner dessert or even a snack on its own!

I love coming to Goldfish for Boba as well as fresh brewed tea. The selections at this tea shop are amazing. Consider asking the staff their recommendations. I have not been disappointed yet. The Holy Basil Chai they suggested today is divine. A new favorite. Every time I go in the staff is friendly and cheerful and I really appreciate it.

Absolutely love this place. Fantastic tea and they have Thai ice tea that they make in house and it's to die for. Get their membership card it is so worth it!

I haven't yet tasted the product, but I am already impressed by how helpful they were to get our order placed. I very much appreciate their attention to social media inquiries. We're all excited to try their bubble teas.

This is the best boba I have had in Michigan. The boba are perfectly chewy: not overcooked to where it's overly soft or falling apart, or tough like it's been sitting out for too long. There is also a nice sweetness to the boba. Also, I loved their "penguin tea", a mix of milk tea and black tea so that it's a little stronger tea flavor than regular milk tea. At some point I would also like to try the "grasshopper tea" which is a mix of jasmine green tea with milk tea, although it will be difficult for me to order anything besides the penguin because it was so perfect.

They do have lots of stuff on the menu besides milk tea, but I haven't tried any of it yet. Lots sounded good though.

This will definitely be a regular stop when we are in the Royal Oak area.

Staff was not friendly.had to wait 20 minutes for an order and No One was in there except maybe the guys friend who was in full conversation before I was noticed. I wouldn't reccomend this store to Noone.

Always a cozy little shop; great selection of hot drinks.
Their snacks and treats are always super tasty, too! One of the only places I’ve seen Fentiman’s sodas. Definitely worth the visit if you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to relax.
The window seats up front are the best, unconventional seating is The Best

Awesome variety! Was so happy to find a tea cafe because I feel like there are not so many in Michigan! I was not a huge fan of my tea, I think their timer was started slightly late and it got over brewed. Lovely atmosphere!

Best coffee or tea place in Royal oak, Starbucks and all the other places should pack up and leave because they are not even on the same level.

I tried macha latte, I did not get any macha flavor out of it. Bubble tea was so-so. They have vast variety of tea options.

Very nice place, good selection of teas and knowledgeable staff who know about teas. This is the type of place where they brew the tea properly, with proper temperature and a timer

Decor has been a bit more westernized since the change in ownership couple years ago. Simplified the menu (no longer overwhelming) ; a variety of specialty items you would find at a coffee shop but also the simple stuff as well. Bubble tea is good, service is great, ambiance is great. If you like the idea of studying at starbucks but hate how crowded and noisy it can be come here instead!

I really do enjoy it here. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I would give 5 starts but the only downfall is the inconsistency in the drinks, the same drink always tastes different, but not bad!

Great spot for a large selection of tea and hanging with friends. They have fun tea ceremony booths and plenty of seating AND board games! I tried the temple of heaven (nice and light), precious eyebrow (wouldn't recommend but love the name), and the chai (which was my favorite!). The staff working were very quiet and since I hadn't been there before I wasn't sure if I had to wait by the counter or not. If you don't know a lot about tea I recommend doing some research before coming so you're not overwhelmed by the menu. I also recommend getting the tea flight since you get 3 teas and you can add hot water and get a few cups out of all of them!

I highly recommend trying either a bubble tea or a blooming hot tea. Calming atmosphere. Plenty of knowledgeable staff about the properties of the diffrent teas.

Great selection of tea and the ambiance is great. Can chill here while reading a book or cruising the internet on your laptop. Seating is comfortable.

Yup, they gotta lot of tea; however, if you're looking to restock your aquarium, they're sure as hell not selling the fish to just any chump off the street.

The tea was good, but the service was extremely slow. It wasn't the worker, but rather that the establishment only had one person working a lunch shift.

Really relaxed atmosphere, great service and they have board games, the best way to spend an evening after a long day of activities.

This place is cute and cozy! They have a variety of unique beverages. I've gone there with a big group a couple of times and because it's on a side street we were able to get seating no problem

The staff is always welcoming and friendly. One of my favorite tea spots in the area and was one of the staples of my high school experience. The atmosphere is serene and beautiful. Great to spend some time with friends. The options they provide for drinks is amazing, I love going here!

I only go for the date bars once in a blue moon. But the cafe is nice and cozy. The workers are always pleasant and helpful.

Love the bubble tea almost as much as I love the atmosphere! Super chill with great decor and seating. Drinks are great with a wide variety of teas, even coffee, which you dont always see at tea houses. Definitely a great spot to meet some friends or just to study!

Super cute cafe! They have a lot of options for tea and coffee. The sad part is that you can only choose two flavors for their boba tea and smoothies.

My family and I wanted a small dessert after or dinner at the nearby Iron Horse Restaurant in Royal Oak. The Goldfish Tea Cafe is a short walk, allowing the Iron Horse's excellent meal to settle. The Goldfish Tea Cafe would not be out of place in a trendy Berkeley, CA, neighborhood. There is a wonderful selection of loose leaf tea, as well as Chinese and Japanese teapots and accessories. Customers place their orders at the counter, and then pick them up when they're ready, à la Starbucks. There were plenty of tables, including a table perfect for board or card games. My husband ordered bubble tea (his first), and I had a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie, which was crisper than I like, but still delicious. There were other pastries, but I'm diabetic, and I know I shouldn't have eaten the cookie. If I'm going to eat something "forbidden, " I'm going to enjoy it!
There were also restrooms, which I didn't visit, so I don't know if they were clean or not.
The overall vibe was very friendly: there were some couple's, a young family, a game-playing group of three, etc.
Lastly, as we were leaving, one of the employees was filling a bucket to mop the floor. This was a very clean establishment.

We always love this place and stop here su time we're in town. The green tea options are always refreshing. Might I suggest raspberry lychee with rise bubbles?

Yes! Go In!

Chia Latte was very flavorful one of the best, very savory with the hint of spice I love. I would rate it as one my top most enjoyable hot drinks. I ordered a large, it was one of the more pricey teas in comparison but within range. Served in a ceramic cup, thank you. I would have loved to sip just a little bit more.

Service was on point with the timeliness. There were 2 employees working, a bit busy after I received my order. I believe customer service is key a simple smile a sharing of product line would add a more personal touch. I did let them know It was my first time and only then, I learned they blend their teas.

Goldfish Tea just look up and around the decor is spectacular the ceiling art is amazing It drew me inside. There is seating as you enter, it opens up with plenty of seating in the back. A bit dark, tables, sofa type (hard) bench seating, some pillows a few soft chairs a bit worn.

Suggestion! Layout not ideal could use a paid college intern or two to redesign the layout to create a more relaxed refresh look to compliment the Art and unique seating. Increase business and draw a wider crowd to Royal Oak Tea connoisseurs for meet ups!

It was not on my agenda to stop for tea, however I had some time before my dinner and had been passing by this tea house for about a year. If it wasn't for a suggestion to try I may not have come in.

The facade could use a refreshed look also! The windows open the opportunity to capture the crowd as they pass by. It will increase business.

It's very popular with a young trendy college crowd, some groups tend to be very loud. This distract from the atmosphere of a calm relaxing moment I would expect.

However a few Royal Oak interns can make a difference maybe some Shoji screens, linseed oil!

This was a good experience me and my fiance visit this location the other night the tea was excellent I think the prices on some of their products are a little high, to be more competitive they should look at online pricing and adjust their prices accordingly for equipment as well as tea products. But overall a good place to visit to get a good cup of tea and the ambiance is also a great feel.

Look at this place! The atmosphere is exquisite: the wood, the unique furniture, the variety of spaces! It is quieter than many other coffee shops with a particular flair for tea. Notice the serving tray below. I really enjoyed the time I spent here. As an added bonus, they have games you can play. Not all of which are mainstream. Simply fun.

I've only tried one kind of tea but I can say for sure it's quality green tea. I've lived in Japan close to 2 decades and I have never skipped a day of drinking green tea. The only gripe I have is the seating is uncomfortable

Best tea and bubble tea out there. They have little order cards for bubble tea, so ordering isnt so scary and pricing is crystal clear. It's a lovely place with cool seating to sit down and enjoy time with friends down in royal oak.

Been here many times and I've purchased from all types of drinks. I havent hated anything but something I didn't like mostly I was trying something new so I had feeling i wouldn't like it.

The teas are fantastic they have a lot of tea flavors for every type of tea. They also get new ones often. Whole I've never tried the standard coffee I do love the lattes. I havent had one I didn't like.

They also have bubble tea that bascily make your self and customize. Hwvbt2had it but my friend gets it everytime and she loves it. You can also play board games that they have in the back making it awesome place to hang out at.
