I think most people would agree that purchasing a car is a stressful situation. High pressure tactics and a big run around. That was not the case Premier, Volvo Cars Plymouth. My experience was warm, friendly, laid back and enjoyable. The staff exceeded my expectations and went the extra mile to make sure I was taken cared of and got a fair deal.

Top-tier dealership staffed by a high-quality, very professional team. I've bought two cars in the last 7 months and looked slowly at dealerships all around eastern Massachusetts before I ended up buying each from Volvo Cars Plymouth, which is far from a coincidence. There's even a Volvo dealership much closer to my home (Danvers), but the service just doesn't compare to what the team in Plymouth provided remotely as well as in person. Thank you!

I want to point out that our sales man, Percy Williams was a professional all the way. He deserves a 5 star rating from first meeting to signing. He's a real gentleman.
Rick the GM did come through. The dealership, after some glitches along the way, came through and did all that they said they would. For that I give Rick, Percy and the dealership 5 stars.
I would recommend this dealership to my friends without any hesitation.

Very pleasant buying experience. Percy Williams III was super professional - low-key - no pressure and very responsive, even after hours. He even went above and beyond to resolve a paperwork snafu on a Friday night to make sure the car was ready for delivery on Saturday as promised. Definitely would recommend this dealership - and especially Percy, who clearly cares about his customers and does right by them.

Emma was our salesperson and she was excellant. She made the sale an enjoyable experience, followed up on all our questions, and called with updates all along the way. I will definitely consider returning for future purchases.

The 1 star is simply because the GM, Chris was decent.

I will never recommend Premier to anyone. From day one, my experience with Percy was not a good one. He was very reluctant to let me take the vehicle to my mechanic, and tried to convince us to give a deposit without driving the vehicle. A week later we found out the vehicle had something serious wrong with it and was going to auction. Hmmmm.

Fast forward to the vehicle we ended up purchasing. From the time he took the deposit from my husband and I he couldn't have cared less about completing the deal, we had to constantly reach out to him and call him for updates and were made to feel a bother. Then, he tells us the vehicle is ready to go, we get there (an hour away) and he "forgot" to get license plates and said he couldn't do that until the following day.

Before you sign, they tell you the car gets detailed, and a complimentary inspection sticker. Well, my vehicle wasn't detailed and they told me they didn't have time to do my sticker.

Overall, a complete disaster. I urge everyone to stay away from this place. Shady and don't keep their word!

I purchased a 2018 XC90 from the Plymouth dealership approximately two weeks ago. The sales experience was average. My concerns have to do with the safety and mechanical issues with the car. Several issues have arisen causing me to question the reputation of this dealership and the care with which used cars are inspected and repaired prior to purchase. The problems I've experienced with this vehicle include:
1 - poor tire alignment causing a shimmy on the highway (discovered within one day of purchase)
2 SRS airbag light on for several hours before turning off (discovered days after purchasing)
3 Engine service light on (discovered within a week after purchasing and requiring two trips to the dealership for repair)
4 gas spitting out from gas tank onto the ground and on my feet and clothing during fueling. I have used the same gas station before and experienced no problem. When my family arrived safely to our out of town destination, I called the dealership, reported this problem and was assured I would receive a call from the service manager the same day. I did not receive a call from the service manager and we are now entering the second day and will need to refuel for the trip home.
Before purchasing this vehicle, I was actually discouraged by Justin, the sales person I worked with, to have the car inspected by an independent mechanic. Justin assured me this dealership "wouldn't even sell a car that had an issue with it. " Clearly that is not true. When I purchased a Volvo, I expected more but got far less than the excellence this dealership promises. I hope there will be a fair and equitable resolution/response to these issues.

Communication was a bit sub par and one of the things that they said they fixed was not actually fixed. Still like the car, but not sure I would go back.

EDIT
7,000 miles in and the brakes needed to be completely replaced due to rust. The garage said it would have been obvious at the time of sale and that the dealer likely did the bare minimum to sell. Buyer beware

Went into the process of purchasing a new vehicle with the mindset of possibly having to deal with the headaches that come with car salesman. Left with not only a awesome Jeep. But I new found sense of comfort and trust in the men and woman who work at Volvo Cars Plymouth. Mark and Dara were absolutely amazing. They both made my car buying experience stress free. Their friendly and welcoming attitudes was just what I needed, in order to know that I was making the right choice in my Jeep but also where I was purchasing it from. I would strongly suggest anyone who is looking to trade in and or purchase a new vehicle to choose Volvo Cars Plymouth!

{ negative Star} I can say with certainty that it was the worst negotiation of my entire life. No professionalism. Details: Approved financing and signed documents, car in the garage. A few days later contract canceled and all the sheets by the store. And the best part of the money spent of course on my part. Complicated, disappointed and sad. Totally negative. And if I offer you a free car, make sure it's more expensive than another.

This has been one of the best experiences I’ve had in buying a car. I had an old Jeep Grand Cherokee with 226,000 miles. I started my car search a couple of months ago to get ahead of the inevitable demise of my jeep.

Did my diligence and researched the heck out of cars, landed on getting a Volvo XC60. I visited a few dealerships until I found a 2017 xc60 at Volvo Plymouth.

Immediately the experience was night and day. The staff were all attentive and polite. I met with Mark Leone and he walked me to the car I wanted to see. He gave me a run down on how to operate the vehicle and let me go for a drive. I really liked Volvos Plymouth’s approach during the pandemic. They let me test drive alone (no other dealership did this for me).

The car drove beautifully but in the end it was a little too dated. Mark showed me a 2019 xc60 to compare. He was never pushy and was understanding of my budget. I visited another dealership to see a 2018 but the experience wasn’t as good as with Volvo Plymouth.

In the end decided on the 2019, the car is great but the service at the dealership helped seal the deal. I really appreciated the low pressure approach. Mark and Sarah were amazing to work with.

Four stars because I had an issue with some old floor mats and a lingering odor. That could’ve been addressed before letting me leave with the car. BUT they went above and beyond to replace them and ozone my car.

I can’t recommend Volvo Plymouth enough!
