Jessica was an amazing instructor for the LGI recertification. The facility was clean and the lifeguard was attentive. What more could I ask for?

Stephanie is fantastic, as is all the crew at Melrose. So glad I joined. I just got an hour of her time showing me all the equipment and the proper way to use everything. Very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. And I had many!)

Great YMCA with many facilities and great staff. The fitness center is always well maintained, along with the pool and basketball court.

The amazing staff helped my friend when he had a medical emergency. Nice weight room and pool, never had a problem here

Great place for the kids to go and pass the time constructively. My 11 year old especially enjoys going with friends, lifting weights and swimming! I love the family discount membership.

I love this place! I have a membership and I can do many classes and lessons! So good! The Staff is so friendly!

Take my son for open swim, change, take a shower, go into the pool area just to be told we can’t go in because the entire pool has been rented out for an exclusive private party. No notice, nothing. Just, “You can’t come in! ” My son was so sad. This only happens at the Melrose YMCA where you pay for a membership only to be told you can’t use it because they sold the pool time that you already paid for to a Private Party! This is so messed up. Boycott Melrose YMCA

I've had a family membership at the Y for over 10 years now - it's a great asset to the community. Alex Belluschi is great with kids and teaching kids sports. My son loves "Coach Alex's" classes. I also enjoy schooling Alex Belluschi in the men's basketball league on Mon & Wed nights!

Coach Alex is the best with Kids. My daughter yells for him everytime she see him around town. Great asset to the YMCA and the Melrose Community!

The Y did a great job adjusting for COVID so we could work out and be safe, and with reorganizing as more people get vaccinated. Bernadette and Josh are fantastic trainers who can help you work just hard enough to keep improving but while making sure you use proper form and enjoy yourself.

I've been a member for 25 years, and wouldn't go anywhere else! I love the variety of classes, the instructors, and the monthly health and wellness challenges.

After leaving the Melrose Y over a decade ago we were delighted to return and find that the newly 'federated" Metro North consortium gave us access to a wide variety of facilities and programs. Sensitive to the challenges of the present viral environment we appear to be living with, the enthusiasm of staff, their attention to the details of maintaining a clean setting and the encouragement of mutual responsibility to that end is laudable. Our daughter and family have now recently joined as well, as we encourage others to do similarly. Great job!
