We always enjoy our food and service at Stonecutters.
The greek stonecutter pizza is always my go.
We also throroughly enjoyed our breakfast there recently. I had the breakfast burrito and it was more than enough food for me and super tasty! The views of the harbor is an added bonus as well as the friendly staff.
Definitely check it out if your in the area.

We ate here twice on a recent trip to Deer Isle. Fun casual place with good food. Service was good. The fish sandwich was very good. So were the tacos. Lobster roll was good. Maybe not great but definitely good. Nice views.

Really enjoyed the lobster roll! Our server was very friendly and accommodating. We ate lunch in and then ordered to go clam chowder and peanut butter pie for dinner. It was delivered to us as we were settling up.mmm, dinner in the fridge for tonight!

Had dinner at Stonecutters. The food was pub level, but was good so far, with the exception of the Coleslow salad. The ambience inside doesn't invite you to linger.

Take out was a little rough. We didn't get our full order twice. Breakfast option was brand new. Expected a seafood breakfast option and there wasn't. Otherwise ok.

Worst service we've had at a restaurant. Waitress was having a bad day but made our experience awful. Waited until after our food was brought out to bring us water and had a horrible attitude when we asked for silverware.

Excellent spot on a beautiful island. Great views from the patio. The waitress was very good and nice, and service was fast even when busy. Decent list of beers on tap. All of our food was delish.

I have eaten here many times duirng the 20 years I visited the area. Excellent lobster, clams, oysters and local Maine shrimp (small, fresh, tasty). Service is friendly and competent. Decor is old and a bit rustic. Parking available, full bar. Also serves pizza and other items besides seafood.

Amazing and attentive service. We showed up pretty close to closing and they were still happy to serve us (we normally don’t do this but we had just gotten into town). Food came quickly and we were all satisfied!

This place was perfect! Perfect location (on the dock), perfect staff, so friendly and pleasant, perfect food, tasted so good! I had a honey mustard grill chicken herb wrap and it was the BEST wrap I have ever had! Highly recommend a stop in when you're on the area! I know I will!

We had our 40th class reunion here. The food and service were great. Fresh seafood and great steak n cheese. Large portions.

Pretty good food. Daughter loved the cheese pizza. I do like tge build a burger feature where you can customize things and dont charge you extra for adding things like jalapeños or banana peppers.

Over price and not very good. Great space and setting, but won't do again. People were nice though.

Told us it was a 15-minute wait to order and then another 50 minutes for food to come out. Close to an hour later we finally went and asked and got our order in. It was lackluster to say the best. Almost a spit in the face to be honest. My fried fish was actually broiled if you want to call it that. Poorly cooked, no flavor other than fishiness. All of this despite the fact that the restaurant was mostly empty. The weird preordering at the counter is just dumb, I'm sorry. It's horrible service. I understand the problems today with getting people to work but this was extremely subpar, especially during the height of tourist season. From a local

I was intimidated walking in with the local fishermen crowding the bar but the appetizers that we had were amazing! The fried calamari was outstanding but the fried shrimp and scallops were really close second. Not too much breading and super fresh.

Best fried clams ever. I am from Maine so know a bit about clams. These were literally the best ever. The veggie pizza is amazing too. Great staff and great scenery.

The food was excellent. The restaurant was was very clean and the staff friendly. The view of the ocean was also a plus.

Really good seafood. You currently have to take the food outside to eat or can eat inside but no service. You place the order as you come in.

One of the best haddock sandwiches I've had in a long time. Very fresh fish and nice portion size.

Went in for a beer this afternoon after a negative experience a few weeks ago and they actually had a competent bartender for once. Food is always good, sometimes the service is iffy. Much better today. Thanks.

I gave this place a low rating because of the poor service. First the cashier who took are order was so lazy, when asked whether lobster was gluten free or if anything else was he said he simply said “I don’t know” and stood there looking at me waiting for my order. Eventually, as I didn’t order, he went to the kitchen and asked and told me it was. He didn’t check on anything else. Food was delivered without utensils and it took so long for the waitress to get them that we had started looking for them ourselves. All that said, my lobster stew was very good, albeit not the meal I hoped. By the way, it wasn’t crowded and we were basically the only customers. We’ll go elsewhere next time we are in town.

We ordered a fish sandwich, on the menu for $15. It was okay. I'd bet frozen. We also ordered two small cups of lobster stew. Market price. We also ordered a small lobster roll. Market price. Even if the two stews were $20 each, that would put that tiny lobster roll at $33 to get to the $87 we were charged. The quality of the stews were pretty good. All else was an unenthusiastic yawn. Especially for a place with a walk up and order-seat yourself- lunch diner atmosphere, this was just overpriced average seafood in a diner atmosphere. Won't go back. But this place does not have as its business model the extra efforts required of a repeat business kind of place anyway.

I can't really give the restaurant fewer than three stars due to the quality of the food and the excellent service we got from Abby specifically, but based on everything else about it, I'm tempted. The host/order taker offered me a garlic wrap for my fish tacos, which turned out not to be available, and didn't give the impression he knew what he was doing. The tabletop felt like it was going to fall off as soon as something was placed on it. All the soda fountains were about 50/50 on whether they'd dispense the listed drink or seltzer water. They were out of clams and lobsters by 6 and calamari by 7, and that's just what we tried to order. The take-out order I placed after our meal took at least 20 minutes, for a stonecutter sandwich and a cup of scallop chowder. Again, the food ranged from good to incredible, and I understand that new staff won't be flawless when they're put on the job, but leave them unsupervised and people will have bad experiences.

So, first impressions usually mean a lot. The ordering system was a bit chaotic and not well presented. And, I mean, it is in a convenience store that is nothing special. But, the food was amazing. It blew me away, the quality of the food and the flavors were outstanding. It was a huge surprise to get this quality of food from this place, and why I am writing a review. They have some of the best food around, and I would highly suggest stopping in for a bite. I still crave a bit of that pizza and the cheesy bread, which were very amazing. Service is slow, but the food is worth it.

My family and I went back during the summer and loved it. You go in, order at the counter, find where you want to sit and they bring the food to you. Food was delicious and reasonably priced!
