Kim and Lisa are amazing and Miranda was so nice when we checked out. Lisa told us about the area and we felt so welcome.

I was willing to give this LaQuinta a shot due to the numerous positive reviews. LaQuintas have always been a hit or a miss for me. This one unfortunately is a miss in my humble opinion. From afar, like most hotels nowadays, they look nice and inviting inside and out. Unfortunately this hotel is very rough around the edges as you can see in the attached photos I took. Mind you all of the areas I photographed are not super visible unless you take the time to look. But I always take the time to look. Cleanliness is a virtually free asset even older hotels can offer but unfortunately commonly choose to not offer. Having mold spores in the A/C unit, snot stuck on the wall in several places, piles of crumbs/dust/hair in every corner and under the mattresses, cracked sink, stained sheets, mold growing in the bathroom corners, and various other broken things around the room isn’t exactly inviting to guests. The elevator was very rough, slow, and dirty. I also have to ding this hotel for not having any liquid/bug proof protectors on the mattresses or box springs. Almost all modern and well maintained hotels nowadays have protectors on all of the mattresses and box springs which greatly improves cleanliness and helps guard against bed bug issues. Not having them in 2023 is inexcusable and downright nasty. My only compliments are that the bed itself was very comfortable, I did not find any signs of bed bug activity during my very thorough search, and the A/C unit worked well and actually cooled the room. I want to also throw in here that I am not a huge critic of minor cosmetic blemishes. I understand night stands and dressers get banged up etc. But many of my complaints and things pictured are simple cleanliness issues for me, not physical damage issues. If someone were to give this room a good deep clean and a vacuum it would go a long way. And that is something that should be getting done after each guest leaves.

Stayed one night May 9/10 2023. When we pulled up in the late afternoon there was a pickup truck parked in the middle of the porte-cochere with a ~10 year boy sitting in a chair in the back of the truck surrounded by household items. The truck was surrounded by household items as well. It was very Deliverance like. There were also two police cruisers parked nearby. As best I could determine, a long term resident was being moved out. I can't imagine how all of the stuff I saw being carried out fit in a motel room. I mentioned to the woman at the desk that the truck was blocking the porte-cochere and suggested that they have them move it to one side or the other so that arriving guests would have access. The truck sat unmoved for the next 3 hours.

When I made the reservation months prior I requested a 1st floor room, as we had our dog. When checking in they had no record of that and of course no 1st floor rooms were available.

When I went to take shower in the morning I discovered that the lever for the tub spout diverter was missing so there was no way to get the water to come out of the showerhead. Nothing like a sponge bath to start the day. I talked to the front desk person and requested some sort of compensation, but of course he wasn't authorized to do that and he would pass my request up the chain. Of course I've never heard from anyone regarding that.

Front desk fresh cookies were good, and the breakfast was about what you'd expect. They invited us to a 2 hour happy hour with (2) free drinks going on in the breakfast area that we didn't participate in, that seemed kind of strange.

It wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't go there again.

Kim and Jenna are Great. Both of them went out of there way too make sure everything was 100% for me. The room was clean. The service I received from Kim and Jenna was awesome. Both of them make this place a Great place to stay. Thank you

Excellent stay. 2 nights with 2 young children. We were all comfortable. Room was clean. Nice pool and good coffee.

Kim and the staff set this Inn apart from any other hotel. Loved them and our experience staying there. We'll be back!

We stay here several times es a year. Rooms are always clean and staff is very friendly. Miranda was especially sweet and helpful this morning. Made me fresh coffee at 5am

Miranda at the front desk was lovely. The lobby was flooded with young traveling sport teams and siblings. She calmly answered the phone, worked to help guests and did it with patience and a smile among serious clamor! Our room was clean and lovely, and we enjoyed our stay.

Easy on-off freeway. Pricey. Rooms clean and comfortable. Food available within walking distance.

Very clean and new feeling also price was great. Amanda was a pleasure to work with checking in. Will stay here again in future.

Great, friendly. Room the best yet and as reward member! @ Breakfast super good. Check in NP!

Unfortunately the pool was closed for service. But they did find other pools close by for us to use with the kiddos.

Would definitely be staying there again for our next trip to Columbus.

We had the pleasure to stay at LaQuinta in Columbus Indiana over the weekend and found this hotel to be absolutely great. They are a pet friendly hotel which was so refreshing. They staff was very friendly the room was clean and bright and the free breakfast was well maintained and good. I would recommend this hotel as nice place to stay.

This was my husband's and I favorite hotel to stay at we were very well known in this hotel. We had been staying there while we were in between places we easily spent $3k+. One day my husband got sick on the sheets by accident.things went down hill from there. One of the managers told him if they couldn't get it out of the sheets they would have to get the owner involved to see what he would do about it. We went to book one day and they didn't have the room we wanted available no big deal to us we just went somewhere else while we waited for our money to refund. After our money was finally refunded (took a week to refund the owner had to approve the refund) we decided to book again and thankfully the room we wanted was available. My husband went downstairs One morning to grab something out of vehicle and on his way back through he was stopped and was told (by the same person that said they would have to get the owner involved if they couldn't get the stuff out of the sheets where he got sick) and was told that we were no longer allowed to do extended stays. He was never given a reason as of why other than "due to upper management ". Highly disappointed with this hotel because of this. We loved the beds the hotel the pool and the breakfast and some of the staff were very friendly. We never caused an issue and were quiet and respectful of other guests and the staff. We also tried to make sure the room was as clean as we found it. I cannot express how disappointed I am.

The customer service here is unmatchable. I've never had friendlier hotel staff in all the years I've traveled. Front desk staff even killed a spider for us in our room that we couldn't reach.

Great place when you're traveling with dogs! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice breakfast in the morning. I will be staying again when I drive to Alabama for sure!

The staff at this hotel are well trained in customer service. This was my husband's and my first trip since his brain injury. I was extremely nervous. Kim helped us at check-in and made us feel very welcome. When I called earlier in the day she assured me that we would have the handicap room we had requested. Then at 2am my husband slid out of bed. He was so exhausted by the day's travel (me too) that we could not get him back up into bed. I asked the night manager (Cody) if I needed to call 911 for help and he said he would see if he could help. He helped Chuck back to the side of the bed and helped me reposition him. He was so polite and helpful. When we checked out the staff made sure Chuck was okay as well. I will always stop at this LaQuinta on our way to Florida!

Very nice clean hotel, Kim was very friendly detailed check in staff. Was a pleasure staying here.

Everything at this stay was great very nice front desk person. The room was perfect. We will be going back to this hotel on the way back to Wisconsin next week

Very impressed with the Columbus, In location. Clean and friendly staff. The little freebies made our trip special. They even had my sons favorite game (battle ship) that we took to our room. That helped the kids unwind after a long car trip.

We make a 14 hour trip from Asheville NC up to see friends in Wisconsin, and this is a wonderful halfway point. They are very dog friendly, so we can travel with our pet.and yet they are immaculately clean. We love this place!
