Holiday Inn Express & Suites Indianapolis North - Carmel, an IHG Hotel

I can't say enough good about Holiday Inn Express. My stay there was not a luxury stay. My wife was in a life threatening condition at the (out of state) hospital, and this was my home away from home during that time. The rooms, (and I stayed in several) were immaculate. The breakfast was good. The staff were very accommodating and considerate.

Out of all the Holiday inn Express & suites we stayed at on our recent trip this one was the best! This was by far the best breakfast location, the hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly! Seems like a nice location too, close to lots! Highly recommend!

Got charged for a night I did not reserve or stay at because I “didn’t check out”. Management has not called, or offered to work with me to dispute this charge. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Check in was confusing. Staff appeared to be poorly trained. They held the full fee for the room, even though I booked with points. Normally a small fee of $30 is held for incidentals.
The place had way too much scent.it appears they were covering up an odor.

Traveled to the Carmel Indiana location with our sports team and our rooms electricity and heat went out for 2 hours. Room got extremely cold. I called to speak to the manager about receiving a refund for the day since we were without basic necessities Kendra Kearns, the group sales manager called me back and was extremely condescending. She said she would not issue me a refund because no one else in our group complained. I told her that not everyone in our group lost power and heat. Again, I asked to be refunded for not having basic necessities for two hours. In a condescending tone Kendra said “and what basic necessities exactly were you without” I said “umm electricity and heat? ! ” Kendra replied, sorry I cannot issue you a refund because no one else in your group complained. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Have stayed at many Holiday Inn Expresses with amazing experiences. Carmel Indiana sadly doesn’t have the caliber of manager that most locations have apparently.

Pretty standard Holiday Inn with easy on/off the highway. The rooms are standard for a Holiday Inn and clean. The rooms were quiet and the bed pretty comfortable. I feel this may be an updated hotel as the floor seemed a little creaky at times. Our room was equipped with a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a single-serve coffee maker with pretty standard coffee.

The front desk staff was very nice, check-in was easy and very quick. The included breakfast was pretty average - cereal, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, biscuits and gravy, make-as-you-go pancakes, yogurt, coffee, juice, milk.

The floor was creaky but the housekeeping staff was great! I didn't expect my room to he cleaned everyday but it was. Bed was made, towels were replaced. It needed a freezer but was sufficient for 3 days.

Great hotel with large rooms. Breakfast was great, and even has a pancake machine which is great for the kids.

Was told very rudely by breakfast attendant kitchen was closed at 6 am. Told her that's okay I just getting a cup of coffee. She told me no I could not take a cup. Then a little while later she was outside the front of hotel making out with her girlfriend in the way of front doors. When checking out me and another guest waited 15 minutes for front desk attendant to come back to front desk from there break outside to walk past us with no acknowledgement to go in back and play on his phone for another 5 minutes before coming out front to help us. This hotel needs better management and staff.

Pool water is strange.
The breakfast is 2/5.
The front desk people said we were going to pay 125 a night then charged us 159.
They were strange too. Like.real strange.
The room cleaning ladies were rude too but they did a great job with keeping the rooms clean. So that made it better.

You can't walk anywhere but Freddy's. There isn't anything to do besides get food, your nails done or drive 40 minutes to the horse race track.

Our stay is awful! The hotel is extremely loud! We have asked to be moved off the first floor but they are not able to accommodate the request. The ice maker, lobby, elevator, and laundry are all very loud. Breakfast is limited and items are broken so they are unable to serve some things. We would not recommend anyone staying here.

Definitely not the nicest Holiday Inn express as it’s a bit of an older building that has been rebranded a few times. People were nice, it was a convenient location to where I needed to be. Rooms were perfectly fine. One point to note - at morning or afternoon rush hour, it’s nearly impossible to make a left turn out of the hotel.

All the tv channels not working, room very clean and comfortable, breakfast was good coffee to me not so good had to go to McDonald's price to high

Gave my room away because I arrived late (about 9 hrs). Said they had already refunded my money (not true). Took money from bank account 10 days later and I had to argue to get my $1000+ back. Now going on 2 weeks past promised refund date. So far, no apology and no restitution. Just the worst!

The room was very clean. Breakfast was very good, high quality. All the staff were very friendly and inviting. Will definitely stay here again when I go out that way.

Clean, spacious, comfy bed and pillows, great brealfast, with pool and gym area. Would go back again and again!

Loved this hotel. Great breakfast, helpful staff, comfy beds and clean rooms. Doesn't get any better than that.

Traveling with my son’s 15u comp baseball team and we never really know what to expect. The staff here were beyond accommodating, friendly, patient and warm, but still professional. I needed to make a last minute change and add an additional night and they went above and beyond to make it work. Never did I feel like we were a burden, which has happened on many of trips unfortunately. Hotel is wonderfully taken care of and very clean! If baseball ever brings us back to the area, I hope to stay here again.

Clean room along with friendly service at the front desk. Try to stay away from the rooms facing the road, really noisy

Friendly staff, ample parking and clean rooms. Ask for a room on the backside to eliminate any possible road noise. Consistent quality and value on several stays.

The room was nice enough. The staff was absolutely horrible. When we checked in we were given a room (101) went to the room, found the cleaning staff was still inside. I went back to the front desk to inform them of the issue. The lady managing the front desk informed me that I could just wait or I could leave. She was very rude and seemed to care very little about my satisfaction. Not the customer service I have come to expect from Holiday Inn or IHG as a whole. As a bonus we were informed that the pool remained closed while other hotels in the area had theirs open.

Disappointed that they allowed smoking in the building. Soon as my family and I came in our room Friday night all you could smell was smoke. It smelled horrible and you could smell it real good in the bathroom. I know that the front desk had to smell the smoke as well because our room was close to it. So I’m not surprised if it’s one of the workers who is smoking. Also the room is sort of out dated compared to other holiday inn’s. The beds were very comfortable I must say.
