It was great as always. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The Restaurant was clean.

The best pulled pork nachos we have had. Each chip was an individual with all the pulled pork nacho. Typically nachos are just on the top and when you get to the bottom.just chips.
$19.00 bottle of wine.

They never fail to create the best of anything your heart desires. They happened to have a special on a grilled pork chop with asparagus and roasted potatoes. It was absolutely THE BEST! Too bad it's not always available. Regardless, anything you order will be a gastronomical orgasm!

Great food, HUGE portions. Stopped here on our way through Indianapolis at a recommendation from some friends of ours who live here, and I'm so glad they recommended it!

Great price for the portions. Margarita was bomb. Tenderloin, done right. They accommodated 15 of us on a Saturday with just about a 20 min wait, which was impressive.

Dinner at Fire By The Monon on June 16th. The service was very good, our waiter did a great job. I ordered the Cobb Salad. It was HUGE, and had all the right ingredients. Very good salad. My wife had the ribeye sandwich, and that is where things fell short. It was not tender and it had a fairly large amount of grizzle. The fries were pretty good, and her salad was fine. But, the sandwich just did not cut it. I would also say that the atmosphere needs a major update. Rather dark, and dated where we sat. I would be willing to try it again, but I would definitely advise trying to sit outside, and I would avoid the ribeye sandwich.

I can't narrow down all the great things. Welcoming, friendly, all staff are helpful and approachable, delicious, unique items on the menu, tasty cocktails, cold craft beer.

I love the inferno burger and the Gruben.

Great food. Fried green tomatoes tasty. River sandwich good. Sweet potato fries were awesome. Sticky table. Server friendly.

Cubano burger absolutely delicious. Very organized even with the art fair making it pretty busy.

Staff was professional, if a bit green, and really made me feel welcome.

Also had fried pickles and some tasty beers.

Everything was great, I got the Burger daily special, avocado pico burger and my husband got the free range flat bed pizza with chicken. The onion rings were huge and delicious. The waitress was so sweet and attentive and (we tipped her well.) This place was a great find in Indianapolis. Happy we found by chance Googling restaurants near me.

Stopped on the 1st, the bartender surprised me when he asked if I wanted my Pimms cup with sprite or ginger beer. I laughed since most BR people think it's worth Ginger beer while British recipes show it's with sprite. He made it with sprite and I looooooved it. Service is phenomenal.

But that food though.: (. Boyfriend ordered fish tacos with shredded lettuce instead of cabbage and wasn't too impressed. Too soupy and corn shell ripped apart too easily. My pulled pork tacos were delicious (well. The pork was) but everything else on it was bland and flavorless. The rice was bland, with no spice or seasonings, and the taco itself was nothing but tomatoes. Overall. Great cocktails and service. Food? Nah. Go elsewhere.

Local and delicious. Fire by the Monon delivers the upmost quality while keeping prices reasonable and affordable. Their pork tenderloin is to die for and will provide enough food for your next meal as well. Give them a try next time your in the area!

We love this place. Food is delicious and consistent. Staff is always friendly. It’s our go-to for take out but dining in is just as good!

Our family of 6 chose to try this while in the area. They were very busy on a Saturday night but got us in fairly quickly. I took the suggestion of another review and got the Inferno Burger. It was delicious! - My wife had the Berry Salad (I also tried some) it was amazing! Kids got chicken fingers, cheeseburger (x2), Mac n cheese. And we got a side of sweet potato fries. Portions were huge, none of us left hungry (thank goodness). The only meal that wasn’t outstanding was the Mac n cheese. We all thought it was just okay. Totally worth the trip. And stop at Rusted Moon to say Hi!

Unassuming, laid-back, charming restaurant that really surprised us. Our waiter was personable and he guided us with helpful suggestions that showed he really understood the menu. The corn chowder was tasty and fresh. But the star of our lunch was the fish!

The Grouben, a fresh take on a Reuben with fried grouper with a delicious slaw plus Russian dressing on marbled rye was sublime. Melt in your mouth, perfectly tender, fresh fish that blended seamlessly with the rest of the sandwich components. It's honestly the best sandwich I think I've ever had. My partner had the blackened mahi mahi and it too revealed a deep respect and understanding of how to honor your ingredients to make them shine. It was fresh, balanced and an absolute delight. The onion rings were also crunchy, fresh and addictive.

We had two generous sandwiches plus a side for $14 each. Such a great value for what we were given. We'll definitely return and try more things. If you're in the area, give them a try, especially if you're a fan of fish.

First time stopping into this place last weekend. Overall I was extremely happy with everything from start to finish. The hostess was happy and attentive, the wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was pretty good. The decor/table seating styles are a little "meh" but we didn't come here for an upscale, pompous outing. I do plan on returning to try out the other food options as they all read very well. I hope to have the same great experience as previous.

It is a wonderful place to eat. We had party of 10, to celebrate birthdays. The tenderloins were great, but the taco's where not season.

Cozy restaurant with decent food. My boyfriend had the grouper and I wanted to switch him meals. I don't remember what I had so my choice was decent but his grouper was better! ;) The service was great and the waitstaff is friendly.

One of the finest restaurants in town, and an independent business as well. We love the setting, but the food is right on par with any of the $$$$ restaurants we've visited. You can't go wrong here.

Had an amazing experience here! Went for a girls night and was charmed and delighted by the bar staff! He made us custom drinks based off the fact we liked Gin and went above and beyond for service! Didn’t catch his name, but blonde with glass! Give him a raise! Would definitely come back!

Great flavors. Atmosphere has a historic feel and is neat. Discovered it was once a house. A little drafty though, but to be expected.

I just left there picking up lunch and the food is fresh and hot and the staff impeccable! I will be back for fish and chips! Thanks guys!

I order the greuben (grouper reuben), blackened instead of fried.highly recommend.plus a delicious starlight winter punch!

We love sitting in the cozy bar area. We had great service and our sandwiches and drinks were yummy. Anything on the menu is made with love!

The tenderloin sandwich was tasty.and could feed a family 4! Next time I'll be prepared to share!

Hosts seem to have an attitude bartender was awesome food was fantastic could not eat all of it big portions had the fire going on outside which got my attention when to take my drink outside just to sit until my food was ready the hostess come running saying I could not sit out there because they did not have the staff rude should not have the fire going if you can't sit out there. Even when I told the bartender I'm just going to take my drink out there it's such a beautiful day bartender said okay I even said I will come back in to eat my food right here at the bar she said okay don't understand the attitude of the host or why that was even said.

Wonderful date night spot! Everything looked good so we ended up ordering the fried pickles, the bourbon burger, and margherita pizza and split it all. Everything tasted amazing and our server was wonderful!

A solid place for some good food, a beer, and good service. The fish and chips are great, as are the burgers. If you get there and parking is full, there is near by back in parking by the monon trail. Enjoy!

Food was soooo good. Very glad we happened upon this restaurant. Smoked Gouda bacon Burger was awesome as were the fries. My husband said the thick cut onion rings were the best he’s ever had.

Very nice meal from here. We had the fried green tomatoes, flatbread, & fish n chips. It all was very tasty & seasoned nicely. The flatbread was loaded with tops & made your mouth water with every bite. Wait staff was very friendly & courteous. Food wait time was very short and we had a very nice time sitting on the outdoor patio. Make sure to check the hours. They close early but if you get there in time, you will have a very nice meal. We appreciate the nice dining experience.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Food is amazingly good and huge servings. We took home about half of what they served. Not that I'm complaining - very happy to have these leftovers. Prices are very reasonable. Service was great. If you want a great meal, be sure to check out Fire by the Monon.

We hit up Fire by the Monon yesterday for the first time and were very disappointed with ourselves for not having tried this place sooner. I can't speak to the ambiance of the interior as we asked to be seated outside and they got us seated right away. The whole place though gives off the feel of the locally owned restaurants you find exploring San Diego. There is a clear dedication to outdoor space, to quality ingredients and well prepared foods.

One of my favorite things on Earth is a fried green tomato. If they are on the menu, I am going to order them. They aren't hard to screw up and I often get some soggy waste of a tomato. When Ted (our awesome server), told us they were the seasonal appetizer, we gave them a go. They were so ridiculously well prepared that I probably spent a third of the meal talking about the appetizer.

Speaking of Ted, the overall service was fantastic. It was prompt but we never felt rushed. When he heard my 11 year old daughter talking to us about getting something "fun" to drink he looked right at her and said "I will get them to whip you up something sweet. "

The whole experience was fantastic. We will be back.

While traveling through from out-of-town and being unfamiliar with the area, we found Fire by the Monon online and decided to give them a try based on all the positive reviews. The employees were friendly and the service we received was very good. In regards to our food unfortunately, the chicken tortilla soup was not fresh, poorly reheated, and disappointing considering it is their house specialty (according to the menu anyway). Similarly, the pasture ribeye sandwich was tough and gristly to the point I question it's quality and if it was even a ribeye. To make matters worse, our stomaches became unsettled shortly after leaving.

So our experience was great service, unappetizing food, and left wondering why there was such a disparity compared to other reviewers experiences.

Mary was a good server, very sweet. They were really busy on a Sunday and Mary seemed to have lots of tables and was doing her best:) the food options aren’t extensive and we had a hard time finding something we wanted. I didn’t love the fish tacos (dry tortilla, liquidy sauce, and tasteless cabbage). The Mac and cheese also wasn’t amazing, maybe 7/10. Worth a try, the fries are great at least and the service was great!

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Delicious and unique. Pulled pork was excellent. Delicious onion rings and amazing bread pudding. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience!

Fire by the Monon was such a fantastic decision! Their beer/cider/craft selection is STELLAR! Their food is absolutely GOURMET? It was a wonderful treat to eat on the patio after driving in from the Chicagoland area and having one of our best friends come visit Indiana for the first time from Florida We loved everything about our experience here, and our waitress made the perfect suggestions for what we were looking for! Absolutely delicious! My wife and myself were driving by and decided to stop for lunch with our pups. The pulled pork sandwich was very tasty and the rib eye steak sandwich was perfectly cooked and delicious! The onion rings are AMAZING! A must have. They're very dog friendly, our pups even got a few treats, which they loved. I highly recommend this place!

Went here with great expectations only to be told there was a wait but could not tell us how long. Waited for at 45 minutes while watching as other 2 person customers were seated at a 4 person table which is what we had, 4 people! Never updated with only should be a few more minutes or anything! Your hostesses need to be better trained as well as better dressed. Big butts in yoga pants should not be greeting customers!

The staff was amazing! The only thing better then the staff was the food! Best onion rings I have ever had by far!

My 1st visit here and I regret waiting.

I literally can't find a single complaint at all. I'm sorry of stunned. We had fried green tomatoes which were crispy juicy perfectly seasoned and the fire sauce was excellent.

My friend had the tenderloin which was 2 meals in itself and sweet potato waffle fries I tried and loved.

I had the burger special. Cooked perfectly well seasoned and the onion rings which is a standard I sort of judge places by and so far the best onion rings in BRV.

Price points were excellent for the quality and portions were more than enough even if you're going in hungry.

Our server Jackie was on point and attentive.

Honestly. This was by far the best dine in experience I have had since I moved here.

This place has amazing food! We ordered some dirty Mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes (the best I’ve had) and onion rings. Everything was delicious! The staff was super friendly and kind. Definitely recommend this restaurant

The bartenders at this place are very knowledgeable. The cocktails are fantastic and the food is unique but not in a pretentious way. Nice place to relax and catch up with friends.

Their carry out/curb side pick up is easy, food is good. Can't wait till they open dine in as well.

Everything was delicious. We tried the grouper Reuben, the pulled pork nachos and the berry salad. All were excellent but could not leave without trying the bread pudding. Best ever And could easily be shared by three or four people. We hear it changes seasonally, Will have to try it again in the fall but I cannot imagine anything being better than this. Susie our waitress was spectacular. Can’t wait to go back. Must try those fabulous looking onion rings next time.

Great, friendly carryout service, and DELICIOUS food! The Dirty Mac n' Cheese is amazing, and the veggie Flatbread is to die for! Definitely found a new favorite place in Indy!

This was my first visit. Great first impression! I ordered carry out and it didn't take long. I got the chopped salad with salmon and the pasture sandwich with sweet potato fries. The salad was delightful and large. I got the burger for some else and they enjoyed it too. They have very reasonable prices here. The customer service was awesome as well! Can't wait to return and try out more of the menu!

1 star at most. Unpleasant service and burnt food. Bar tender extremely rude and probably racist. They ID-ed me for an artichoke dip!
