We’ve been going to Hamel Dental for nearly a decade. Everyone here is friendly, service is prompt and professional. Services and options are explained in easy to understand language and they are always flexible to get you the best treatment possible.

I would go as far as saying they make going to the dentist actually enjoyable!

I had my teeth cleaned by Asia at Hamel Dental. I have to say she was the best dental hygienist I have ever had! Unbelievably gentle and thorough! I totally would recommend her!

Quite possibly the best communication of any medical facility I’ve ever dealt with. From navigating insurance issues to identifying and addressing dental concerns, everyone is thorough, helpful and fantastic. No one has ever tried to sell us on items or procedures we don’t need. We’re never rushed. Everyone is really nice and genuinely seems to enjoy what they do. They’re also super involved in the local community, which I love. Definitely recommend!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a quality dentist for our growing family. This practice not only fit the bill but exceeded our expectations. The staff is warm, accommodating, and you can tell that they truly care about their patients. I cannot recommend Hamel Dental enough.

I had sensitivity, exposed parts of certain teeth as well as difficulty with food wedging below the gums due to recessed gums. I asked if anything could be done. After my dentist of 25 years retired I was on the hunt for a new practice that I could trust. Walking into the office I was greeted by Chris who is so friendly and helpful! My hygienist Asia took her time to explain everything she was doing during my X-rays and teeth cleaning and made sure I was comfortable for the whole appointment. I had a few stains that made me feel insecure but now my teeth look and feel amazing. They gave me the confidence boost I needed! Dr. Philip Hamel was so knowledgeable and made me feel like it was my first ever dentist appointment. I learned so much more about my dental health and together we created a plan to get me back on track. I’m so fortunate for the Hamel team and look forward to going to the dentist for the first time in my life.

I had a wonderful experience with Hamel, Chris was able to squeeze me in with an emergency dental problem, and he was very knowledgeable over the phone and walked me through pain treatment and what the best next steps would be for me. The office is beautiful and among the cleanest medical buildings I have ever been in. Everyone was very friendly, and took great care to help me have the best care I could get!

Besides the fact that that office has been remodeled and is gorgeous, the staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. I recently went in for a toothache, they found time for me that day. Dr. Hamel referred me to an excellent endodondist because I needed a root canal. Again excellent care.
Now I returned for a dental cleaning and I met Asia, one of the hygienists. Not only is she skilled and friendly but in all my years of cleanings, I never had someone so thorough as well as so gentle! This makes it easy to come back every 6 months!

I highly recommend Hamel Dental! After moving to the area recently and hearing and reading positive feedback and reviews, I scheduled my first appointment. I was not disappointed! Dr. Philip, Sheila, Chris, Asia and the entire team go above and beyond. They are welcoming, knowledgeable, patient and professional, answering all and every question (no matter how many!). Dr. Philip explained the procedures I needed thoroughly and during the appointment, continually checked in with me to see how I was doing. I had some underlying issues before starting at Hamel Dental and Dr. Philip took the time to talk through all of the issues with me. I never felt rushed. He asked me questions and listened to my concerns, providing thoughtful feedback, options and next steps. He even followed up with me to see how I was doing. Along with being an excellent dentist, Dr. Philip is a kind, caring person. I will be recommending this practice to all my family and friends!

People usually don’t look forward to their dental visits, but I do! My experience at Hamel Dental has always been very enjoyable. I trust Dr Hamel completely and I like him as a person. He treats his patients with care, compassion, and sympathy. Once I had terrible pain in the roof of my mouth caused by a surgery in my nose by another doctor. I visited four different doctors and nobody was able to help me. In the end, I called Dr. Hamel and he saw me immediately. He understood the pain and he didn’t let me wait. I had been in pain for two weeks. Dr Hamel took care of it and I could finally eat and speak as normal. This was an unforgettable experience and I will always remember the kindness of Dr Hamel.

My family just moved to Clarendon Hills from Maryland. We needed to find a dentist. We got a few recommendations for Hamel Dental and made appointments. My daughter, who is 6, had a great visit. She had X-rays (Chris), a cleaning (argh, I forget her name but she was awesome! Mimi I think?) and a thorough exam by Dr. Hamel (son) and all went well. He took his time and carefully explained something about one of my daughters teeth. She is always nervous in medical settings and left smiling, which is enough for a 5 star rating itself. For my visit, Dr. Hamel (father) cleaned my teeth. They were pretty stained and I was overdue for a cleaning. Dr. Hamel took his time and got my teeth the cleanest they have ever been. He was also great at explaining a couple of issues I was having with my teeth and proposed treatments. He is VERY knowledgeable and I felt I was in very capable hands. I was also interested in teeth whitening, so Chris explained ALL of my options and patiently answered all of my questions. I never once felt rushed even though my visit was stretching a bit longer than usual due to the condition of my teeth and my whitening consult. Last, but not least, the receptionist and all of the hygienists and dentists treat you as a friend. They call you by name and are so very friendly. I am very happy we found Hamel Dental and I would highly recommend them for your family.

Let’s be honest; no one really likes to go to the dentist. But you have to go because your teeth are vital to your overall health and should never be ignored or taken for granted.
Hame Dental cares. And they are exceptional on all levels.
The staff is highly competent, professional, articulate and, believe it or not, kind of fun! The music is (mostly) great. Super clean spaces too.

I highly recommend Hamel Dental. Dr. Phil and Chris are the greatest. The thing I like best is how they explain the procedure before they begin and give updates throughout the process. The office is state of art in procedures and equipment. Patient comfort is a high priority.

Their procedures during Covid-19 are designed to protect the patient. First their screening technique, next controlled entrance to the facility and finally exam rooms with filters and at the height of the pandemic with plastic covering all patient doorways.

I've moved out of state and sad I won't be going to Hamel Dental anymore.

Once again Dr. Hamel's office goes above and beyond. Was having tooth pain and they were able to fit me in for an appointment. Our family has been patients there for years. They are responsive, caring, and very professional. If you are looking for a dentist, make sure you call their team.

The dentists here have been providing great routine care for my family for years - More recently we required an emergency repair from a sports injury that had them working well into the evening, going above & beyond to really help us - I had some more complex work done recently and they invested a lot of time to work with me on a treatment plan that considered my schedule, my insurance and my budget. There may be a few other dentists that can provide the high level of work as Dr William & Dr Phillip, but few that provide the same level of care.

The people at Hamel Dental are awesome! I have recently located to the suburbs and found them in the neighborhood. After going for a cleaning and filling replacement I feel so blessed to have found them and were so close to me. Had I known about them before I would have driven out there years ago. The dentist and dental techs were professional and do excellent and painless work. I would highly recommend them.

I've been coming to see Dr. Hamel for over a decade now, and even though I no longer live in the suburbs, I still make the trip from Chicago to come here. He's an excellent dentist! (And it runs in the family!) It's easy to schedule any appointments, all the staff is very personable and always prompt, and they do excellent work. They also take the time to explain any dental changes or issues that they see, and they keep thorough records. Highly recommend!

I’m new to the area and needed a DDS. I went into my first appointment thinking I needed to setup regular cleaning appointments and get a minor chip fixed.
The Dr did an assessment and he identified an underlying condition that my previous doctor had missed. He took the time to explain my situation to me and helped me setup a plan to fix my problems in priority order and work with my insurance to maximize benefits usage this year and next year. Just got home from my first repair appointment. The procedure went well and I know I’m in good hands. The renovation being made to the office hold great promise. Office is clean and access remains easy during construction.

Some people are blessed with beautiful teeth from Mother Nature. I was not. When I was 11 or 12 I began seeing an ortho for braces at the Clarendon Hills office of Dr Keane (apologies if I've misspelled his name) ; he was a kindly, grandfatherly fella who retired before the braces were removed. Dr Hamel took over the practice and I have stayed on-as evidenced by my gorgeous teeth-over 40 years later. Have you ever been complimented on your smile, because of your beautiful choppers? I have; it happens all the time. I left the western burbs a long time ago and my dental care is the only medical provider I didn't take with me to the city. They're the kindest people at Hamel Dental, and it's now a family business that has somehow managed to stay in the same location while expanding. I can't wait to see the gorgeous new buildout once all the final punchlists have been cleared. But most of all, it's the consummate professionals inside the building who matter most. Dr. Philip Hamel and his father Dr. William Hamel are the most excellent dentists I have encountered. I never have EVER fallen asleep while either Dr.here has worked on me, and their Hygienist to the receptionist, Sheila, are great. I did have some slight words with Sheila because there was am misunderstanding about what I was quoted by the Dr.and what she was billing me. However she promptly got Dr. William to rectify the billing issue since the wrong "code" was used to bill me.whatever that means.

Only wish they accepted more insurance plans/companies.that's my ONLY complaint, if it is even really considered compliant.
HOWEVER.the entire staff works as a well oiled machine. I do wish they had Friday NON-EMERGENCY time slots because every time I want/need dental work done I HAVE to take off work, which I do not enjoy doing.
HAMELDENTAL, you do an outstanding job and have refereed many other to your practice. I am happy to see that Dr. Phillip will be the future of the practice!

I've been a long-time patient of Hamel Dental for the past 20+ years. Last week, I called their office on a Tuesday afternoon with the hope that I could schedule an appointment within the next 24 hours to have a cracked tooth immediately cared for. Dr. Hamel's staff were all very polite and extremely helpful. They were able to accommodate me on short notice by scheduling an appointment to have the tooth repaired the very next morning and were even able to schedule me for a cleaning me that same day right after my tooth was repaired by Dr. Philip! Needless to say, I was very appreciative and also very happy with the excellent customer service they provided. In addition to this, their remodeled office looks great. I highly recommend Hamel Dental to anyone looking for quality dental care!

This place is fantastic! Our two teenage boys were transitioning from a pediatric dentist to a regular dentist and we couldn’t have picked better place for their cleaning and check up. Our boys both said they had great experience and even liked it better than the pediatric practice that we went to for many years. Everyone that I spoke to was really friendly, and they seemed very thorough. We will definitely be back!

We started going to Hamel Dental 2 years ago as we moved here from Michigan. My oldest has never allowed anyone to give her a full cleaning and they were beyond patient with her and she made it through the whole process for the first time! We always have a wonderful friendly experience when we visit and they have just remodeled and it is looking great! They follow every cleaning protocol and we always feel safe even through the pandemic! I highly recommend them if you are looking for a family dentist!

I have been going to Hamel dental for over 20 years. Dr. Hamel worked two very complicated dental cases with both of my daughters who were each born with a genetic dental issue.

Dr. Bill Hamel is so talented and skilled but what makes him exceptional is his kindness and patience. Our two girls started seeing him at a very young age and throughout the years Dr Hamel always worked to make them comfortable and give them a smile that was aesthetically pleasing. These were very difficult cases which took years of care and consultation with other dental professionals to make sure we got the best result for the girls. He took so much time to make sure everything was perfect.

Chris has been with Dr. Hamel since we started going there as well. He has been Dr. Hamel's right hand throughout the years and the two work as a fine tuned machine together. Again, what sets Chris apart is his caring demeanor.

The dental hygienists are fantastic as well and what I find the best is that everyone in the office is happy to be there.that's a sign of a well run office where you know Dr Hamel cares about his team.

Now Dr. Phil Hamel (Dr Bill Hamel's son) has joined the practice and he has the same level of skill and care as his father.

Exceptional dental/health care providers in all ways. Starting with an efficient scheduling insurance handling practice, to outstanding bedside manner, and pain management techniques, to a highly skilled team that treats dental issues with ease and prescreens for other health related issues that often affect the mouth. They identified a family members oral cancer - which prior to then, was undetected because zero known symptoms and zero risk factors, but ended up being stage 3.that was almost two years ago, and forever grateful to the team. Been going there for close to 15 years. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience for my first visit at Hamel Dental! Both the hygienist, Chris, and Dr. Hamel were friendly and explained everything as they went along. They even accommodated my request to get impressions for a night guard, which essentially made my visit 2 appointments in one. Although I was happy to come back for that, they made time during that appointment for which I was very grateful! Chris made sure I was aware of the cost of a night guard so there were no surprises. The front staff were also helpful and friendly both over the phone and in person. They definitely have a solid crew there!

I just had one of my teeth fixed today that had a small chip in it, I admit it was more so probably something only I was noticing when I looked in the mirror, but they happily scheduled me to come in and get in taken care of-today was pretty quick and painless too. Super nice people all around, staff and both Drs are great. 10/10 recommend.
