Great sushi and super friendly staff. Big portions and a lot of variety on the menu. Guys behind the counter are great and the serving staff is very friendly and helpful. Been there twice and will definitely be going regularly.

Great food with amazing service! The sushi bar is something I’d recommend to EVERYONE with amazing cuts of BIG fish fresh for the taking.

We got the rainbow roll and Hawaii five o rolls. Both had a terrible taste. I thought there was something wrong with the soy sauce but it was the roll itself. Very fishy. Thick grainy cuts. Absolutely the worst sushi on the island.

This place never fails. Butterfish is ono and the sushi bar is an experience all of itself. I always recommend Tadashi to visitors who want good sushi.
Service is always pleasant and swift.

Delicious food in good sized portions! Miso butterfish teishoku and Agadeshi tofu are favorites. In Jan 2023 they are short staffed but still delivering a great experience. When going for lunch, call before 11 for a reservation.

We found this place after looking for a 4-star+ place for lunch after landing at the airport. While the dining room is pretty limited due to extremely reduced service staff (lunch reservations required, but we got lucky due to a cancellation). The food was excellent and service extremely friendly. Based on what we got, the tonkatsu was thick and juicy, tekka maki overflowing with fish, and the butterfish misoyaki was delicious. The chicken karaage was good, but not exceptional. Will definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

One of our favorite go to Japanese/Sushi restaurants. Not fancy and stuffy. Staff makes you feel welcomed and the service is always excellent.

So trying to make a lunch reservation but no one answers the phone. This is the 2nd time we've been disappointed with Tadashi.

We enjoyed another great teishoku (set meal) lunch at one of our favorite Japanese restaurants Tadashi is a small, neighborhood-kind of place with a cozy sushi bar & a limited number of simple table & chairs. What's outstanding at Tadashi is the awesome authentic Japanese meals! Everything sooo delicious, plentiful & freshly prepared. Oishi! Our Go To Place! Tadashi's owners are very friendly & welcoming, too?

We loved the friendliness of the staff; even though we came in close to closing they were super friendly and offered us the full range of choices. We really appreciated that. The food was utterly beautiful in it's presentation and was delicious as well. Thank you, Tadashi we will be returning.

Reservation only for lunch. My husband asked the server if it would be ok since we didn't know to have one. And she said it would be ok. Only 90min sitting time as well. We ordered 2 rolls 1 temaki and a combo teishoku. Everything was good. And food came out pretty quickly. We did come at the end of a lunch rush close to 2pm. Only gripe would be too much rice with the rolls. We ended up spending $80 for just 2 people. Which is a bit steep. But I get with the rising food costs and labor. I would go back.

I have never seen such racist management. It’s all Japanese customers and the staff doesn’t like to serve you if another race. You’re treated rudely and not prioritized.

By far my favorite japanese reasturant on oahu. Very cozy, relaxing and wonderful staff make absolutley wonderful food.

Everything the same taste. We ordered three different rolls and everything was the same! Also they probably don’t have salmon because rolls was made with salmon belly!

I had the pleasure of dining at Tadashi last night. The food was delicious and the attention to detail was present both on the plate and with our interactions with their staff. It was such a wonderful experience. I look forward to my next visit to Tadashi.

Great service every time you will go there! Terrific staff. An the food is so ono! It is a must at least once a week for me. An I'm in the fine dining community so this is a must to go to.

DEFINTELY one of the BEST sushi I've had. Fresh, tasty, appealing, decent price, good service and awesome owner. I think that says it all!

Love Tadashi Restaurant! I have been dining there for 15 years or more. My son has been there since he was a baby and now he is 14 and loves them too! They have the best Butterfish, and Salmon nigiri, no wasabi.

Excellent customer service for our family of four: 2 adults and 2 kids under 6. Food was decent and yes I would go back to try the butter fish.

Waited an hour for two rolls. 5 tables filled out of over 20. Was not busy at all. Have no idea why it would take that long. Also there was a cockroach crawling on my table. Not happy at all. Didn’t even get to finish my food because I had to get back to work.

Salmon slices are thick portions but Ikura was too little and totally very pricey. Taste okay but I'm not sure I come back.

Very friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, food very well prepared and seasoned. The depth of flavor in the various dishes excellent, prepared by experienced hands. The batter for the shrimp tempura is very light and "lacy", not of the frozen variety. Would recommend Tadashi to anyone looking for really good Japanese food.

Our smoking night turned to a sushi night when we decided to not stay at the lounge near this place and we discovered one of our favorite sushi places, they do have good coffee as well!

Great food. The miss butterfish, softshell crab salad, poke bowl, and all the rolls we ordered we're delicious. Service was consistently frequent with tea and water. Ice cream selection for dessert was unique and very tasty - passion fruit; ume guava - good portion size. 4 stars only because some sushi entrees (veggie roll, poke bowl) showed up when everyone else was about done eating.

Was seated quickly. For groups of three or more a reservation is required. The staff are very friendly. They do serve sake and shochu. I did not find myself waiting long for my food. I can't wait to go back.

Prices were on the high side but the sashimi was pretty good. The roll that we had was really nice but unfortunately the rice in it as well as the chirashi we ordered were very dry

Service is great. Tea and water are always being refilled. The family loves their misoyaki butterfish. I tried what I think is a new item, the bento, good with a lot of variety but a little pricey.

So glad we found this place! Super friendly. GREAT coffee! I had the breakfast wrap which was great and stuffed me (200lbs military male). Wife had Eggs Benedict and wouldn't stop raving about it.
