Excellent service from Maurice and the food is amazing
I had the Burgermeister Mesiterburger but the potato salad was my favorite.

This place has had its ups and downs, but I had a great meal recently. Everyone at my table enjoyed their food. The spaetzel is my favorite.

Really good Bratwurst and Pretzels sandwich. I like to decorate and my wife loved the almond cookie

I drove the extra miles to get a Schnitzel but was disappointed. Ingot to say I am German and had the expectation of something that was not met. The potato salad was too sour, the red cabbage tasteless and the Wiener Schnitzel without Salt, and two small pork pieces … it was at best ok but nothing good to come back. Service slow and not really friendly.

Honestly this place was amazing. The food was wonderful, and authentic as best I could tell. The service was amazing, and there was even a man playing the accordion unironically… just jamming in his own right. The atmosphere was great.

Maybe I caught them at the wrong time, but the bartenders acted like I was bothering them by simply inquiring about the beer options. Having said that, the Octoberfest beer could quite possibly have been the worst I have ever tasted. It had a very unfamiliar, sour-ey finish. But the biggest turnoff was the inattentive, nonchalant service from the bar. Y’all need to do better. If you want the authentic German experience, go to Tucker Brewing.

Food was great a few years ago. Not sure what changed, but portions are way smaller and don't taste as good as before.

I’m a pastry monster and stopped in here after a hike to grab one, don’t remember the name, it was like a cream horn on steroids and I crushed it.

The food was not awesome. The service was ok. The server should have better knowledge of the menu and also what is and isn't available. I would go back for the bottomless mimosas for $15. I had the cream cheese stuffed French toast. I do not recommend. They were not stuffed.they were topped. The rasberry sauce is pretty tasty. Next brunch here I will just have the mimosas and croissants or assorted bread basket. I also tried the fried potatoes and they were deliciously seasoned. I recommend. I had the pecan coffee as well.and I purchased a bag to go. Parking is very limited.

We left Stone Mountain and decided to stop here and grab a bite of food. Was delicious and enjoyed the German hamburger meat. Can't think of the name but it was good.

Well, as a German I expected too much. The Hunter Schnitzel was very small, with two pieces of mushroom on it. The german potato salad was not close to any potato salad served in Germany. Even it was called superior by one of the servants.

As a German, my advice to Americans who have lived in Germany, or my fellow Germans, is to not expect German food in its true sense.
It's OK food. But the potato salad was nothing like it is at home.nor is the Schnitzel.

After finishing hard 6 miles of Cherokee Loop Trail at Stone Mountain, we decided to treat ourselves with german food experience. We'd like to start with House Brews Sampler 6, but waiter told us half of the them were not available from the menu, specifically popular ones like Oktoberfest, Southern Pecan Coffee Bock; we had not much choice at all, it's quite disappointing. For starter, we ordered Potato Pancakes with Salmon, from German Specialty, we ordered Zithonen Schnitzel and German Sausage Plate for 2, and 2 other starters. We enjoyed all the dishes, knowing they are americanized german food. We loved all 3 varieties of sausages as well as frikadellen, they're very tasty with german mustard, frikadellen is flat, pan-fried meatballs of minced meat, considered as Danish meatballs. The waiter was courteous, service was quick, overall we enjoyed the food and experience. Personally, I would like to see more typical german food like Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle) in the menu.

The good is delish and the beer outstanding! A fun way to spend an anniversary! The German sausages were amazing! Service was good and attentive. The atmosphere neighborly. Definitely coming back! And telling others about this gem.

I ordered a cake for pickup. It was lopsided and did not taste like the advertised flavors. Party of 11-no one at all liked it.
At the location, it took a very long time to have the writing added (although it did turn out very well). While I was waiting I made a small order. Someone nearby had waited over an hour and had to take their dine-in order to go. The employees seemed friendly enough, but quite frankly, nothing really went well. Parking was also awkward and inconvenient.

My friends and I have reasonable expectations of a restaurant. We know it's still tough for restaurants to get back to 100% staffing, but that is not an excuse for bad or rude behavior. Note we were seated in the bar area and our service person was the bartender.

We ordered our bevs. Took us asking after over 10 min for a flight of beers to be brought to one member of our party. When our appetizers arrived, the table that was seated out on the patio walked out after never being acknowledged by our server, probably about 20 minutes (they tried). When our main dishes started arriving from the kitchen, we had to ask the food service to man flag our server for refreshes on the mimosas. Mins you, the table behind us, bevs were constantly coming but I realized soon they were friends with the bartender.

The last meal arrived, Shepherd's Pie. It was rather dismal and tiny for a $15 special. There is more to that dish than just beef with mashed potatoes. Disappointment was expressed and management intervention was requested. At the same time, my friend asked if she (server) knew what the ingredients were. Her response with a side of attitude was that she was vegan, didn't eat meat, so she wouldn't know. An offer was made to get something different and words were exchanged (nothing profane) and she walked away. My friend picked up his plate and carried it to the front of the restaurant. He was told by the manager that if he didn't like it, he didn't have to come back.

As disappointed as our dining experience had become, we tried to finish our meal. The server never came back to our table and neither did a manager. The table behind us continued to get her attention. The table beside us waited probably a good 20 minutes for their check. When she brought their check, she apologized very loudly that the delay was due to another table ruining her whole day and that she had another 12 hours to work. More words were exchanged. The table behind us tried to jump in taking her side and finally got up to hang at the bar to commiserate with their friend.

Shortly after that, staff came to the area to clear the tables around us. One of them came to our table offering to clear some plates. I asked if he could expedite our check because I don't think our server is ever coming back. Apparently that switched on a light bulb. He the said that we, as grown men, should be ashamed of ourselves for making the server cry and that we should just leave. We said we still needed to pay and he said he would take care of it and to just get out. Turns out, he was the owner. No asking us for our side or any questions or apologies. Some would say kudos for him sticking up for his employees and others would say kudos making himself look bad along with the image of the restaurant.

So, for the first time in my life, I got kicked out of a restaurant.

At least stop in to visit their bakery! That made up for it. The staff and atmosphere were great. But the food wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. They only had two types of brauts and out of all the other sausages.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Service could have been better. Server was really slow and uninterested. Would definitely recommend the crab cakes Florentine.

The ONLY reason I give this 2 stars is cause of the food. Honestly this restaurant seemed like a great place to stop at after a hike at Stone Mountain. As we got there put our names on the list for a small wait (to be expected) and looked at the bakery. As we were there 3 more parties came in behind us, one our size and 2 bigger. Those parties came in, put their names in and waited 2 minutes and were sat before us. After the first party, I talked to the host and they said they would get us next. The same thing happened 2 more times with the other parties. Annoyed, we talked to them one more time and they sat us in the most tight, forgotten about corner in the restaurant. And server we talked to or employee there acted like we were a burden to them and we shouldn't be there. Truly felt like we were not welcome. The one person that was kind to us was the cook/busboy that came out and asked how everything was. The beer and the pretzel were pretty good and were very enjoyable! When we finally got them. The service was utterly terrible and we did not enjoy our time there.

Great service and food. First time there and will for sure be back when i plan to visit stone mountain. Definitely get some zucchini bread if you're there.

Food was great as always. Service, well, they brought the wrong meal for 1 of the 5 of us, had to wait for the meal. When it was time to pay, checks were messed up, extra meal was added, drinks were missing. Took 3 tries to get it correct. I know this guy was new, but wow. Thank goodness the food was excellent

What we had to eat was good. Had to leave 45 min between appetizer and when we gave up, our food did not come out!

Food was great. Portions were big. Server was very Friendly and knowledgable. The live music wasn't very good and really loud. Very little parking. Overall, I recommend eating here.

This is my new favorite restaurant! The food was beyond delicious, and we received amazing service from Nikki! We will definitely be back and request to sit with her!

We visited here 8 years ago and the food was excellent. This visit was not the same. Quality has gone down significantly. Compared to other german restuarants this was not to par.

A bit of a wait, but worth it. The experience was fun and cute. Good food for sure and servers were nice. Took a bit to get the food out, but it's understandable with COVID effecting everything. I would go back again.

Had the pasta. A little too salty for my liking. We didn't get a pastry we purchased from the bakery side. Our waiter Mike was outstanding however.

Food was excellent. Beer was great. Service was slow due to being short-staffed during Covid and at a time when some people don't want to work. The servers were doing their best, hustling and were very polite. The building was old, weathered and could use some maintenance/repairs. We enjoyed our first visit and will be back.

The food is amazing! The atmosphere is wonderful! And the staff is superior! Everything was delicious, but their desserts are amazing!

Great surprise near Stone Mountain, Georgia, serving authentic German and European style fare. Had the crab cakes, which were good but served in a sort of hash style, with rice pilaf and veggies. I think the beer and wine list need some improvement and I will be back to see if they improve upon it. There is a bakery attached to the restaurant serving great cookies and other sweet treats. Michael the server is excellent, friendly, knows the menu well and calls you by name. Thank you!

The beers here are EXCELLENT! Great variety, wonderful taste, excellent price! Good value for money. The food was less stellar, and over-priced. We shared the sausage place - it was heavy on fat and light on flavor. The sauerkraut was unremarkable and did not taste home-made.

Most everything is made from scratch and they can modify for special dietary needs, like gluten free. The service was excellent and knowledgeable.

It wasn't a good experience. I thought I would give it a chance since my husband said he went there to eat and waited 20 minutes at the bar and was never greeted.so I went and I told the server it was my first time.she didn't guide me thru the menu.she told me everything had categories.she made me a drink that said 9 in the menu but charged me 15 bucks! She said it was top shelf.lmbo not with rail vodka!

The restaurant close at 8p. Arrived 7: 33p on a Sunday and was informed that the kitchen was closed so not even take out order. Asking the host about operating hours and was told that this is a privately owned business, and that they already had a large group in the evening so they decide to close early. Such a way of running ur business.

Great food, but more important, the people working there were so kind and very accommodating, even when inconvenient (I apologize for any extra difficulties!). Will be back for sure. Thank you!

This restaurant is unique and always fun to go to. They have good cocktails, but its hard NOT to get their liter of beir! Their food is pretty good, although some of their sausages just take like fancy hotdogs. Make sure you ask the servers before ordering hah!

My family used to like this place very much. Last month we brought my brother that was visiting from our country for first time we have to leave since nobody came to our table after 10min waiting for service. We tried again couple days after and we experience the same waiting time. Since my brother was to eager to eat at that place we wait and finally the waiter came in a very rude manner asking if we were ready to order? He never offered us any drinks or appetizers. We never knew what his name was. My husband ask him if we can order some drinks and if he has time to serve us at what he exploded screaming at us. We decided to leave and told the waiter that he was rude and we don't like the service. His answer in a very loud voice: "then leave and not come back! " My husband talked with the owner but he didn't help the situation and let us go. I hate to say this but the service from waiter to owner was very bad.

This was my first time coming to a German restaurant that I was super excited for but however the experience was quite interesting to say the least. Coming in you see the great bakery that I was super stoked to get at the end. But however while seated we got our food in an okay manner, my family got drinks but however our waitress was pregnant and was making our drink which kinda alarmed me because in that state you shouldn’t be making cocktails in my opinion and my family couldn’t enjoy them at all. When it came to the food everything was subpar but however my nana food felt and tasted kinda off. She brought this up to our waitress and our waitress got really defensive and said “ well what do you want me to do about it? I don’t cook the food. ” We were all kinda taken back from that statement and try to move on from it. When got up to the bakery where the staff was kinda making me uncomfortable in types of ways. We had a staff member doing pull ups all of a sudden and then I found moldy zucchini bread out on the shelf and the staff member I brought it to kinda just looked at me and later went to the back but never apologized for me finding mold on their bread! The desserts themselves tasted kinda odd too like they’ve been out for a while and we’re quite dry. We also paid about $40-50 and they forgot some of our desserts. I would say this place is kinda a hit or miss with people and wasnt the experience I was hoping for especially for the drive out!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Unless you’ve eaten here before, DO NOT come here to “try something new” like my husband and I did. To start, the service was great! We were immediately greeted at the door and our server, Micheal, was very awesome and polite. Checked on us and made sure we never went thirsty, he gets 5 stars! Our table was at the back of the restaurant near the windows, we were constantly swatting at flys and nats the entire time. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and we literally took 2 bites out of it and were done. It was not good at all. We hoped our food would be better. I ordered the chicken in wine sauce and my husband ordered the German spicy wings.my chicken was so watery and soooo bland, yet the wine sauce made it tangy and it was just a weird experience, not to mention the chopped raw onions that was just sprinkled on top of the chicken with mushrooms, it just wasn’t right. They know they could of seasoned my chicken before cooking it. I literally took one bite of my chicken and was done. And whatever that scrambled potato thing was on the side of my dish tasted like a used dish sponge. Actually if I known what a dish sponge tasted like I’d bet it probably be better than my entire entree. Only taking 2 bites out of the food I had a knot in my stomach the rest of the day and I ended with my head in the toilet for half an hour. My husband didn’t enjoy his wings either, the sauce wasn’t good and they need to not make homemade ranch anymore. Won’t be going back.

Not often I write a bad review. But this was a really bad experience. Our waiter wasn’t just rude, he acted like he didn’t speak. No hello, no personality. Rude beyond believe. We were told a top up of hot water would be. 75c, which is ridiculous because the tea was $4. That’s almost double Starbucks price.
We sat and waited for the check, asked the man clearing tables and then still waited a full 10min again. We ended up putting cash down before leaving after calculating the tax ourselves and the waiter then showed up and rudely accused us of attempting to dine and dash. When we explained we left it on the table because he wasn’t around for almost 20mins he started to have a mini tantrum about being busy so we saved him the embarrassment and just walked out.

The owner needs to be aware that this type of service will kill a business. The food was average and did not save the experience. I’ve had Jager schnitzel at over a dozen places here and abroad- this was the worst I’ve had. The wine reduction was the main taste, and there was maybe 6 pieces of mushroom on my entire plate. Red cabbage was good though.

Now there are multiple German restaurants in the area, do yourself a favor and choose another one! This was a Saturday night and it was half empty… think more people are catching on that this place isn’t living up to its reviews from the past.

Things to never do if you own a restaurant:
1) serve tainted meat to a customer, that gives them food poisoning.
2) When said elderly customer tells server the meat could be bad, don't answer with 'what do you want me to do about it? I didn't cook it. '
3) Forget two deserts they ordered and paid for.
4) sell moldy Zucchini bread. MOLDY!
5) Have servers make the drinks even though they have absolutely no experience making cocktails. Worst drinks EVER.
Should have guessed with their low inspection rating, but we were dying for a good German meal. This place is an abomination in every respect. Rude servers, bad meat, horrible cocktails, and rancid deserts. My god, they should have paid us to eat this slop. Avoid at all costs.

Not a good experience. Had real salty beef linguini and an over cooked warstein burger. Hour later I'm still tasting the salt and my lips are dry Just like last time we came, they didn't have most of their in house beers. The place has a great look but limited parking. Great folks here but the food is just not for me.

Jaeger Schnitzel was fantastic! Loved the spatzel. We asked for two meals and an extra plate for sharing and they split it for us. Kind and minimal fee.

Worst place, worst service, worst food. Unrecognizable food. It’s like being in the twilight zone. My family had a most awful experience. My niece’s birthday was almost ruined. No one should ever have to wait 1.5 hrs for the wrong food and then get a replacement that is also wrong. The decor is cute and has a resemblance of German decor, that’s about the extent of their authenticity. Heck, they couldn’t even get a hamburger right. I would not leave any stars if I could. I would leave a photo, but it so unappetizing that we couldn’t even waste megabits of data for this horrendous food. We should have walked out without paying, but we paid anyways. Thanks for nothing!

Such a cute place to have brunch. Not far from Stone Mountain. The food was delicious and service was fast and polite. As you can see the pretzel went fast because is was great. The sauces that came with it were on point. We also got their pumpkin and zucchini bread from the bakery. Great quality for the price and super tasty.

Such good food. We got the meat platter and it will not disappoint you. All the pastries are amazing. Actually everything is incredible. One of my new favorite food places.

Discovered this place while visiting stone mountain to see the carving and other attractions of the park. Great beer and food! My girlfriend feel in love with the bread sampler, while I happily sampled the beers, of which I cannot proclaim a favorite as all were awesome. The sausage platter was huge and filling for sure. The only drawback I found with this establishment is that I live 2 hours away!
Would strongly recommend this place and am looking forward to our next foray into that area to eat there again.

Love this authentic German Restaurant.
All of the great sausages, bratwurst, sauerkraut, sandwiches, salads and lots more to choose from. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
The owners Hilde and Claus are wounderful and a delight to talk to. They will usually come by and ask how everything was. Great place for really great German food also wounderful breakfast. Also Bakery goods.

I did order Cesar Salad. (lettuce very old)
The bread was too old.and looks horrible.
Then i ordered coffee w/ almond croissant
This was so old, humid and i could not eat it.
I trashed like $23.00.
I tipped $15.00 cash
I had before other salads but this is the worst salad i ever had in my life.
My other 2 friends were not impressed that all.

My Mother got her wedding cake from here back in 2005. We recently got my Father a German chocolate cake. Our guests ate the whole cake and said it was so delicious. I’ve tried several dishes and they are good every time!

Enjoyed a meal with family in the private dining room. Great service, great food and I really enjoyed the "Love Bug" pastry for dessert. Would definitely go back.

Great food, tasty local beer and really enjoyed the service. The sign on the door said they were short staffed but we couldn't tell.

I went with a large party a little too close to closing time. Several dishes were overly salty and an appetizer was forgotten about although they still brought it later and didn't charge us. The waiter, Mike, I think.he was great. Overall the visit was a good one and if ever in the area again, I would go back. I also recommend it to anyone visiting Stone Mountain and want to try something different.
