They charged us 36 dolars for the fuel, but we've returned the car the same as we rented 7/8. Ingrid from renting didn t give us the car that we rented, the woman in car return said everything is ok, but charged us 36 dolars!

Rented a 2023 BMW X7 at Sixt Miami Airport. Very pleasant assistance at the Sixt service desk at the airport. The BMW X7 was wonderfully configured and a very nice car. I do not give 5 stars as the car was not completely clean and damage-free.

Service was great! Easy and fast the agent Vincent was very professional and friendly. My only issue was that I disagreed with being charged for something that was beyond my control, will definitely recommend and will rebook in the future.

Excellent experience when renting a car: the reception, processing and collection of the vehicle was very fast and easy. Mike, the sales agent, explained to me in detail the different options of the vehicle model to choose and everything related to insurance, fuel, tolls, GPS and others. The quality price relation is very good.

This branch always has the car I want in the category I've chosen. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I will say that there is way too much pressure put on customers to purchase insurance. At this branch particularly, I have had discussions with agents where they have tried to convince me that it is obligatory for me to buy insurance. In their defense, I am sure they are trained by head office to make the insurance options as confusing as possible. Sixt website intentionally makes info regarding third party liability (TPL or liability coverage) as vague as possible. The agents will throw around a lot of acronyms to confuse the client LIS (supplemental which covers above the normal TPL amounts), CDW (comprehensive which covers damage to the rental car caused by you), and LDW (which is CDW plus Loss caused from theft). LIS, CDW, LDW are NOT legal minimum insurance coverages required by law. TPL third party liability is the minimum insurance you are required to have and from what I can tell, sixt does not sell TPL and therefore it is already standard on every rental car. In fact, I don't think a rental car can be allowed on the road without TPL regardless of whether there is a renter or not. Most recently, the agent asked me for my personal car insurance coverage. Your personal car insurance coverage might indeed provide you coverage while you rent a car, but it is a secondary coverage to what sixt already has. I simply ask "can you rent me the car without insurance? " The answer is always "yes, BUT at your own risk yadda, yadda". If the car did not have the legal required TPL insurance already, the answer would surely be a definite "NO". To sum it up, sixt, stop encouraging agents to confuse renters into purchasing your self-insured coverage.

This is a complete comedy. I’m getting emails about turning in a car I didn’t rent. I call them to tell them I didn’t return that car and I’m still in the vehicle I rented and they have no clue! When I left on Friday everything was correct on my reservation and the app and now it doesn’t even show I have a rental and I’m in the car! This company is a complete joke. And their customer service people have no idea what to do!

Excellent customer service at desk to get the rental car. Poor service when dropping off the car. Staff at drop off should be standing up and Plainview so costumers know it is staff. Do not sit in the rental car, while addressing customers when you are not identifiable. Interacting with customers should be in a standup position and if there a customer park the car in the three lanes. Do not expect or ever tell customer to parallel park a car between two car.

I was hesitant about renting from the Miami location due to the bad reviews. I've been using Sixt for the past 2 years and have been extremely satisfied. The reviews about Miami trying to sell you their insurance to the point where you want to rent with another rental company is accurate. All other Sixt locations did ask if I wanted the insurance and respected when I declined as it is OPTIONAL. Pick up and return on all locations is extremely quick and efficient. The other apprehension for the Miami location were the reviews for being charged more after the vehicle was dropped off. I've never had Sixt charge me more than my quoted amount. I'm currently waiting to see my total charges as I just turned in my rental yesterday. As of current I highly recommend Sixt due to no wait time, easy and quick returns, and nice selection of vehicles. I've always rented the luxury class and always satisfied. Review subject to change after I get my final Miami bill. I'm not sure why Sixt has a low rating because my service has always been exceptional and they were out of my car once and upgraded me to a brand new S90 that was never driven. Although my Miami agent was ridiculous to the point of obnoxious trying to sell the insurance.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM HANDICAPPED AND THEY DO NOT HAVE A DESK FOR HANDICAPPED TRAVELERS. I LET THEM KNOW THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE A DESK FOR HANDICAPPED PASSENGER, THEY LOOK ST ME AS IF I WAS AN EXTRATERRESTIAL. SO THEY DIDN'T CARE. AFTER I GOT THE KEY OF THE CAR THEY TOLD ME TO GO LOOK FOR MY CAR AT THE PARKING LOT, SO I ASKED WHERE THE CAR WAS PARKED, THEY TOLD ME TO USE THE KEY TO FIND IT. TO MAKE THIS SHORT, I WENT TO THE LOT AND THERE WAS NOBODY THERE TO HELP, THE LOT OFFICE WAS EMPTY. NOBODY THERE. SO I HAVE TO STROLL LOOKING FOR THE CAR. WHEN FINALLY FOUN IT AFTER 10 MINUTES, THE CAR WAS NOT CLEAN THERE WERE BOXES OF KFC WITH REST OF FOOD AND NAPKINS. AND SMELLING MARIHUANA. SINCE I HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY ONCOLOGIST, I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO WASTE SO I DROVE WITH THE CAR, AND SOON I FINISHED, I CALLED TO EXCHANGE IT. 3 DAYS LATER THE EXCHANGE THE CAR. IN THAT OFFICE IN POMPANO BEACH THERE WAS NO HANDICAPPED ENTRANCE THERE WAS 2 STEPS AT THE DOR. SO THE LADY IN CHARGE CAME AND HELP ME TO GET IN THERE. SO THERE, MY EXPERIENCE WITH SIXT WAS TOTALLY AWFUL. AND IN TOP OF THAT AFTER 3 MONTHS SINCE I RETURNED THE CAR, THEY ARE SEND ME A BILL FOR A PAINT DAMAGE. WICH I NEVER WAS TOLD WHEN I RETURNED THE CAR. MY RECOMENDATION IS STAY AWAY FROM SIXT. THEY ARE REALLY INCOMPETENT.

Sixt is a scam. Don’t waist your time or money. Don’t project luxury if you can’t deliver basics. I tried renting a nice car for a weekend with my wife, but then they didn’t have the car I rented. I waited for 3am hour at their desk, was charged for adding a driver that they couldn’t add, and was overall frustrated with the experience. I won’t be back.

I've booked many times with this service. Their prices are on the higher side, they give your car away if you're not there within an hour, no matter the reason, and will charge you extra where they can. The cars and staff are nice enough, but I've had a few minor red flags with them. My last and 4th time renting with them this year was the final straw. On top of that I received delayed mail from them, and tacked $40 onto a parking ticket I received due to a faulty pay meter. How can I contest it if you don't send me the ticket until MONTHS after? There's too many other options at MIA to work with this location. There's no reward for brand loyalty and I always feel like they don't really care about the customer.

I was skeptical to book with them because of the 3.8 rating i seen at the time, but I decided to chance it. Check in was quick. Employees were all helpful and attentive. The Benz GLB looked and drove great. The drop off was quick and smooth. I'm not sure if SIXT has did a 180 from previous reviews but from 10-14 November 2021 they were great. 10/10 would recommend!

Price was comparable to others but the truck smelled like cigarettes and had no washer fluid. Just be sure to check all of that before you take it.

I like the cars and the rates. I rented a BMW 740i for more than a week in Miami. But I made a reservation to pick up the car at 7: 30 pm. At 8: 30 pm my car still wasn’t ready and the nice young woman at the counter was helpless to get anyone to do anything about it.

So, five stars for the car and rates. Zero stars for honoring their reservation and for customer service.

Had to wait in a long line which wasn't surprising. After all, it's the Miami airport. Didn't exactly expect it to be quick and easy. Had a problem with a tire on my car, and had some difficulty getting in touch with someone to help, but once I did, it worked out ok. I wouldn't rule out renting from them again, I just hope it's not in Miami. Don't have much desire to go back there.

I'd love to give it a zero, but since you don't have this option, I'll be forced to give it a 1.

I rented a car in July and paid $798.34. Four months later, here in Brazil, I continue to receive charges.

Dishonest, profiting, cheating company. Nor do they respond to emails.

My issue with this rental company is the lack of people at their counters. 8 am There are 33 different groups of people with reservations waiting in line waiting, but there are only 3 desks out of the 11 desks open at Miami International Airport. The cars are fantastic. The lack of personnel SUXTS (Sucks).

The vehicule itself didn’t match my expectations at all.

It was dirty, many miles at the counter + quite a few damages

Considering the fact of 13h flight + two kids= I just didn’t had the courage to return at the counter and asked for a better quality of car.

1600. - usd for two weeks = I expected a better car that I had with less miles and better cleaning; unfortunately it wasn’t the case.

In every destination in the past I had a Sixt reservation the car was sparkling and brand new.

I was pretty disappointed discovering that despite the fact there are isn’t almost any tourist visiting the USA (under the Covid restrictions) instead of providing higher quality of services with great cars it was almost the opposite.

Overalls I used to trust Sixt, after this experience I might not consider the company for future booking.

In the past when I had a car that didn’t match the expectations (Majorca SPAIN) Sixt manager by himself upgrade the car booked.

Sixt must be aware of the competition and be more cautious to cherish her clients specially under the uncertainty of times we are still leaving.

Always deliver excellence in services is key to make the difference.

This was originally a 1 star review, but I am revising because Sixt responded via email after 2 weeks and refunded the gas charge. However here was the original review, because it was still a horrible experience: “I will never rent Sixt again, and neither should anyone else. Worst car rental agency that I’ve ever used. I got a flat tire on my way to return the car at the airport. Sixt told me it would be 90 min before someone could help with the tire. I had to fix it myself because I would miss my flight. In rushing to the airport, I had no time to stop for gas and figured it would be slightly more expensive to have Sixt fill it, so it wasn’t worth missing my flight. However Sixt CHARGED $278 TO REFILL MY TANK! Now when I try to call and talk to someone I get the message that there is no one to talk to and I must reach out via email. I’ve done this multiple time with no response. My rental was supposed to cost $560 and in the end was $798, and Sixt will not allow me to dispute this or even talk to someone about it. AVOID SIXT AT ALL COSTS! ”
