Had car problems. Went to NC for vacation, and the drive back was horrible. My family and I were in SC about an hour away from Georgia, and the transmission went out on a 2023 vehicle. I was doing 70 on the highway and started to accelerate, and the engine after about 2 seconds started sounding as if i was reving it. I thought maybe i accidently hit the shifter to N. That was not the case as the gear was on D. I pulled over and called hertz wait time was 45min-120min each, made 3 calls total. 1st call was told tow would take up to 1.5 hr and LYFT would pick us up. 3 hrs later, call #2. Second rep told me tow was Not available and they would call a Lyft. Time was 830pm. LYFT driver accepted and about 45 min later canceled because they dont do pick ups on highway. So Call#3 rep said same as rep #2. I told him LYFT doesnt pick up on highway and was told they couldnt do anything and call 911. Nearest exit was 4 miles away which i didnt mind walking but it was now 9: 15pm. A family member picked us up, they live in NC, went back to NC get exchange. When i got back to ft pierce location i spoke to rep because i was charged a late fee. Rep told me he removed late fee, which i told him i shouldn't have been charged in first place because of the vehicle. I asked if i can get some type of compensation because customer service said go to branch where you picked up the vehicle. Rep told me he wasnt the manager and that he saved me the late fee. MANAGER was on vacation and now im getting ignored. So on my next day off i will show up and raise hell verbally ofcourse. I HAVE 2 KIDS, and my 4 yr old has LEUKEMIA.

Horrible service. Ran into an employee that refused and lied about an available vehicle I reserved a month ago. Drove to another location and had employees confirm that vehicle was in fact, available. “Mark” put words into my mouth, was extremely dismissive, and continued to refuse service. Ended up with no vehicle and will never reserve with them again.

OMG, who would want to use this branch based on the many negatives noted in the reviews. Budget is likely worse (been there, done that, terrible) P and Enterprise reviews are very concerning. What is wrong with these company's manage, emt, all typically poor performance, and leaving the customer hanging. I hate needing to rent now and then in Fort Pierce.gross malfeasance on the part of all 3 rental co's here. And like Enterprise, management does not respond on line to these issues. Budget does, but still they haven't fixed their service at all. Crazy biz.

I would walk 100 miles to enterprise before renting from them.jerked me around trying to tell me a kia sol is a midsize sedan and then the whole debit card issue.now i know why i have always used enterprise.

I rented a vehicle and they never mentioned anything about me using my own sunpass. I don’t mind paying the toll but they added a convenience fee that is more than the toll. When I tried to call the hertz in fort pierce and a explain a rude lady hung up the phone mid conversation

They wouldn't let me rent a car because they don't accept the credit card I use, but then 3 days later they charged that very same card for the car I never rented.makes a lot of sense. I've been waiting a month for a refund and still haven't received any of my money back.

The best team ever! They helped a lot! They were fast solving a mistake made by the system! If was not by them I would not see my daughter for her bday! Congrats Fort Pierce team.

Marysa helped me with my car rental this week and she was excellent! I booked online so after I got out of a 26$ Uber she was thoughful and kind enough to inform me that they had a free (local/let them know ahead of time) shuttle service! When I dropped the car off the shuttle driver was unavailable but Marysa was on it and made sure I arrived home safely and promptly as promised. Customer Service is not dead! Thank you so much!
FYI building is super hard to find but it's in the 2nd or 3rd dealership lot after you pass midway going south and it's a small building that says on it Collision Center and theres a body shop that sits back a little and is to the left of it.

I had to wait about 15 minutes after my meeting time for someone to help me. Upgraded my vehicle for free since it sounded like they were out of the kind I booked which was nice. The representative was helpful but also mildly annoying since he haggled me for about 20 minutes on all the upgrades and made me call the insurance company I purchased protection through. They set my day back about 40 minutes. I appreciated their timeliness with providing a final invoice/receipt and processing the security deposit refund.

My fiancée had to drop off his car rental at Hertz in Ft Pierce and on the ticket was no phone number and an address that took us to a place completely different. We were late returning our car because Hertz was close to a mile back inside some collision center with a paper sign saying Hertz. Completely inconvenient to have people drive all over and without a phone number to contact someone to assist us of exactly where you are. I’ll use Enterprise from here on out.

Worst place I have ever rented a vehicle from, to start off I rented a vehicle and was given a different one because they were “upgrading” me for “free” even though the car they gave me was smaller, other car was no where in sight. I than had to put gas in because the vehicle was not a full tank, when I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas I was than charged a fee for not returning it with gas. This place is bad business and if your looking to rent a vehicle BEWARE and just go to Avis.

Charged me and the GMC Dealership and its been 4 weeks with no refund to my charge card. Disputed the charge on my AmEx, left a complain on Facebook and made a BBB complaint.

This was the worst rental company I have used! They changed my reservation I made on line and when I returned the car with a full tank of gas I was charged $86.00 for a fill up. After several calls and more than 2hrs of time I was refunded only because I provided receipts for my gas purchase. Completely ridiculous and very shady!

With crazy prices and limited availability of rental cars, I rented a panel van from Hertz at a reasonable price. Online reservation was easy, and a real and pleasant person answered the phone when I called to say I was running late. When I turned in my rental, Mark Coogan was willing to offer me a ride to someplace else. I still needed a vehicle, so decided to extend my rental with Hertz another week because they were so great to deal with.

I would definitely recommend this office for their excellent, personal customer service.

Poor customer service skills- needs new management
I called to book a reservation, spoke to Jennifer- Manager at ft. Pierce location and was not helpful at all. She got upset because I did not know the hertz address of where I was picking up the car? I told her I will not have that which is why I was calling hertz. She continued to hang up the phone on me when I asked her to speak to her manager. Not helpful! Definitely searching for another rental company

Online reservation was quick and easy.
I stopped by a couple of days b4 the actual rental day to check out the van as I was using it to transport small furniture and was concerned it would be roomy enough. The guy was super accommodating and answered all my questions. Drop off was flawless and the charges to my card were as stated. I would recommend this Hertz to anyone needing a vehicle.

Terry really goes above and beyond super friendly and helpful. Been traveling back and forth and when my reservation wasn’t avalibel he helped get me back in my old rental and get me on my way.good service

The car was ok but we didn't like their tactics. Prepaid for rental when making reservation online, website did not disclose additional charges that were due at pickup. Charges for things that are usually included in the fee with Enterprise.

Will go back to Enterprise the next time we need to rent a car.

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated by the store manager (Jennifer) she is very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful.not mention being discriminated against. I will NEVER do business with them again. BE WARE!

My husband picked up a rental car because his car was being repaired and he was brought there by the repair company. They gave him a car with an close to empty tank and was told to bring it back with the same amount of gas in the tank. He was in a hurry and took the car anyway. Of course now he is regretting it because the repair shop called and told him his car is ready right after he just put gas in the rental car. It’s not close to empty and Hertz Is refusing to refund him any money for the gas

I stick with Hertz because I'm a gold member. On this occasion it did not start well at all. They were an hour and a half late so delayed my getting on the road to my destination. I would have cancelled but it would have been worse. The driver, Mark, however was very nice and gave me an upgrade for the in class inconvenience. Unfortunately when I dropped the car back, they had no one to drop me back home so had to Uber. Lesson learned. Do not use their pick-up service ️

I've lived in South Florida all my life & rented many cars, being 45 yrs. If that says anything. This particular Hertz gives you First Class Service From Pick-Up To drop off. Everyone is Great & very Proffessional.:) *****

Overall Excellent Service! My Wife left her Sunpass Transponder in the Rental Car when we returned it. They saw we left it and called us so we could pick it up.

I liked the car, it was a Chevy Malibu 2019. It was nice. I liked Sirius. I go and drop off the car, the (I'll say boy, he was very young) inspected it, I waited inside. He came back into the office. I told him my car was done being fixed, I needed a ride to the body shop about 2 miles away. They are supposed to have a driver, drive me back. He makes a phone call, I thought to the driver, but No. He called Lyft. I said who's going to pay for this ride. I'm supposed to get a free ride over to the body shop. He said the body shop will pay for it. The Lyft driver drove me to The body shop. I told him to wait while I find out who is paying for the ride. The body shop said I pay for it. (ME?) I got into the back seat, created an account and paid the Lyft Driver myself. Hertz has no idea what they are doing. Its run by kids.

I've been a Gold member for years for Hertz (around 7 years, and a client for almost 10 years). I've used the Stuart, Fort Pierce locations, and a few airports. Hertz in general knows how to pamper loyal costumers. Automated features, better rates, free rentals and upgrades, Let's say the customer service in Fort Pierce location is not as nice as others. I'm located closer to the Fort Pierce one, but I usually prefer to drive a little more. Today, I got my first car upgrade in Fort Pierce, after years of going to this location, I saw some improvement, that's why I'm rating with 4 stars.

This company has no customer service. They refused to take their money out of my account. They messed my account up to the point where I had no idea how much money I had in there, by not taking their money out. I spoke to four different people in their customer service department, about this. The last person I spoke to had me make a special trip into their office, so they could rewrite the contract, and take their money out, before the car was returned. One week later they still hadn't taken their money out. I had to send them an email stating that, if they hadn't taken their money out by a certain date, I would report the card associated with the account stolen. They waited till the morning of that date to take their money.
