Fox Rent A Car Ft Lauderdale

Avoid this place. After a flight, waiting for over an hour in a line with only two people at the desk is not ideal. They may offer a slightly better price, but with no cancellation fee, everyone ends up spending an hour or more in line. Stay away!

Most horrible we’ve ever had for a car rental company. Our flight was delayed by 10 mins and they told us that even if we arrive 1 minute after the time we booked it for they will close their office and we will have to pay additional money to pick it up the next day. Zero accommodation. Flights get delayed all the time and the company was unwilling To provide a 10 minutes grace period. They wouldn’t cancel it for us either and we had to book a different car with economy.

I was assisted by Daniel few hours ago.
It all started with a question I had for him about the “supplier’s choice”.
Daniel was telling me it’s referring the big SUV and was telling me not to book from Price Line and that he could get me a cheaper deal.
So I waited in the line for him and he even told his associate that he is taking care of my reservation.
He took me to choose a car and still played like he is in my favour.
Of course his price was over 150$ from the price on the app, so I kindly declined.
Then, he was telling me to book it throughout the app and even showed me what to book.
After paying and getting the order confirmation he said”well the one you booked is the smaller size cars so if you’d like I will upgrade you for an extra 60$”
That’s when I realised I’m dealing with a cheater who’s trying to enforce his poor sales skills on me.
So Fox rentals just lost a customer due to a sketchy employee.
I would highly recommend you to think twice before making business with company that supports this type of businesses.

After getting screwed over by one of those little off site companies, I went up to Fox desk and Danny was able to give me a brand new car for an unbeatable price. The whole process from walking up to the desk to driving out with the car was only 10 minutes.
Danny was very helpful and explained everything without dragging time.

Love the customer service at Fox at the front desk in the airport 100% for making me feel welcome. But when you get your car and drive out the DUDE that is at the gate yes you Mr. Sourface that worked July 17 @ 10 pm.you are disrespectful, rude 100% not pleasant, and do not need to be working with customers you bring nothing to work but bad energy. You need to be working in the back back back where you have no interaction with customers we DONT WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE after a long day.

I ordered a car from this company for the first time. They offered me a luxury car and offered me a Chrysler or something similar. When I asked for another car, they spoke to me badly at the reception and did not agree to bring me another car. The car smelled of cigarettes. Worst company.

Disappointed with the credit card policy Europeans mostly use debit cards, it's a shame to force people to get a credit cardz just to be able to rent a car. If you don't have one, even though you booked, you must go to one of the few rentals that still accepts both cards. You will usually pay double what you booked because you didn't plan to have those kind of changes.

Rented from here and ended up somehow spending more than what I was told when booking on the website. On top of that, wasted 2 hours after flying in waiting in line just to get the vehicle. Before returning and flying back, pulled into a parking lot as I was lost. Realized it was paid parking and attempted to pay for the five minutes it took for me to sit there and find directions. Machine wouldn’t take my card. Months later I get multiple invoices for a parking violation. Not only did propark (the lot I was in) charge me $90 for sitting there for five minutes (even tried to pay), but fox then adds over $60 to the ticket as an “administration” fee? It cost $60 to click a mouse a few times? A bit ridiculous to make me wait hours to get a vehicle, pay more than what I was told when booking, then charge me a ridiculous fee to push a button.

Paid for the jeep Cherokee and end up getting some Mitsubishi car.
Response was like this is what we have but no Jeep so had to choose the cat what they had however refund was not an option

The cars are in terrible condition and on returning the vehicle, ridiculous additional charges are added to your bill. I will never use this location again.

Final price will be more than twice calculated by their web page: insurance will be more expensive, tag toll is very expensive too, taxes, etc.

This place is horrible! I never leave reviews because I hate being a dang Karen but this was just horrible. We had a reservation for a certain price and the company refused to give us that price under what we booked it for. They were trying to charge us twice as much. I will never use them again they are fraud! Save your money and go else where’s.

Super easy to get our rental. Naz helped and he was awesome! The car was clean and brand new. No issues, thanks Naz!

Bad experience

Very disappointed with the service at Fox Rent a Car! I had a car reserved for months and when I arrived at the airport pick up, (and waited in line for 45 minutes), the teller announces to us that they can’t use our debit card. We explained that it works as a credit card as well but she refused, saying that they changed their policy a few weeks ago. Like I said, I had this car reserved for months. Couldn’t anyone notify us of this policy change? !? We had to go to another car company and take whatever they had! Very poor service; will never use Fox again!

You'll pay the same price at other places. The car we got was DIRTY!
And to make things worst, The Oil Change/Maintenance of the car was 3 Months over due. Backup Cam was a joke! Blurry like a -4.5 vision.
When I dropped off the car, They scanned it and they gave me the previous customer's name. Meaning they didn't even check it in before they gave it to me. UNREAL

I just want to personally thank the associate at the front counter Rommel he made the car rental experience so easy and was very helpful he recommended plenty places and things to do he made the process of renting a car so easy for us he explained everything thoroughly he helped us choose the best car that fit our trip considering the distance we were driving and had a very. Good and positive attitude despite all of the questions we had

This is the worst car rental place I have ever been too. The tire blew on the car and Fox Rent a car wouldn't even pay for the new tire because they just put new ones on at 30,000 miles. The car had 65,000 miles on it when we rented it. Plus they didn't have everything you needed to change the tire.

Worst service on the planet. I rented a minivan got a flat with no spare tire! Got a ride to where I got the van and experienced TD if that's really his name? Worst person on the planet! I was being told by the person on the phone to get a new van manager TD told me NO someone would bring my husband the van and switch it out with the flat broken one. So my husband sat on the side of I95 for 5 hours and NO one would help he finally spoke to a tow guy who said he would have to drive the car on the flat off the highway. I emailed the company called to complain given them every opportunity to respond and all we got were crickets! Never again!

Horrible customer Service. Thought they would be good but I will never get a car from here. I called to make sure my parents rental was in the system hrs before they left since they are older. But the man who picked up the phone had a horrible attitude and couldn’t even answer my question. He ended up hanging up on me. So I will never go with fox. Worst mistake was giving them the opportunity to charge my card before they even got there. Would give 0 stars if possible.

They are supposed to pick you up every ten minutes to get your rental car it took them an hour an a half once you get to the counter they say the rental is cancel since they only give an hour you explain to them it’s their fault they don’t care they try to up sell you to a more expensive car three times as much there was a ladies in front of me she complained the manager yelled at her and told her to get out the other people had the same problem and my turn came up same story they are the worst I walked out and rented a car at U save it was a night an day difference do. Or rent from this place at all and even do they cancel they still try to charge you I booked in Expedia they resolved the problem and did not pay them the worst company in Fort Lauderdale airport

Paid in advance online, where it specifically said you could reserve with a debit card for a larger deposit. Fast forward my wife and I, a 3 year old and a baby get to the counter only to be told no, despite what it says online you cannot pick up a car without a credit card. Also, you cannot get a refund, only call "the number" to figure out how to transfer your registration to another company.

Now we are sitting here wrangling children, getting hung up on over and over again by a terrible automated phone system designed to keep you from talking to a person.

This place is ruining my life.

Please, please, please don't rent from this place it's a complete scam and a disaster. They Rob people blind and you can't get a hold of anyone. The cars are filthy and we received covid from the vehicle. No customer service at all!

Car rental was very good once we found the rental location
The contract listed eurocar as the renter. Fox rent a car was not listed on the contract. Took an hour to figure it out.

They charged me $186 for 3/4 of a tank of gas, that's $8 a gallon. There is a reason they have this many reviews and a 2 star average.

I would not recommend.

By time you walk out of there your payong more thab you would at a brand name. Stick with avis or enterprise. Fox is a false advertisement

Worse car rental company. Dropped my car off & now they are saying it was abandoned.
