ACE Rent A Car

A very disappointing 2nd experience with this company. A reservation with Expedia, we arrive at the Ace counter, and the employee tells us that they are sold out! So if we want a car we have to "upgrade" with a fee of a hundred dollars. Same thing last time. Head up!

We had issues with a different car agency after landing FLD during Thanksgiving break. Alberto from ACE really rescued the day by providing us cars at the last minute and at decent price. Good start to the holidays thanks to Alberto and ACE

I rented in Florida and added on a Sun Pass for tolls. They quoted $30 at the counter but when I got my final bill it was actually $42 once you include taxes. I think they intentionally misquote the price. Not enough money to worry about but it feels sketchy.

STAY AWAY COMPLETELY! Read the other reviews. Car rental company that has no problem baiting and switching and screwing over customers. If you book through them or third party you can elect not to purchase their "optional" insurance coverage but they sneak it onto your bill once you arrive for pickup. They are deceitful and claimed I needed to show proof of my insurance but never even asked me for it and said I needed to drive all the way back to show it to them. When I called to dispute they connected me to someone who was just nasty and was used to the drill. They clearly pull this tactic on a lot of their customers. This is just shameful, this company cant do honest business with hard working people and their employees are ok with promoting the companies tactics.

Terrible customer service at Fort Lauderdale airport. Booked on Expedia account with my credit card. No indication online who is the driver. Simply a reservation. My
husband is always the only driver on our trips. Upon arrival at airport the counter agent insisted i must a driver. I have booked on expedia multiple times never an issue. No policy clear on paperwork! Guy tried to make us pay $125 US so we are both on contract. Thats not right!

I was at another competing rental place in the service was terrible. It was great to have George. He was knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. I really appreciate everything he was able to do to get us a vehicle as quickly as possible and at the best price.

The worst car I have ever rented. I have over 3 years in total of car rentals. The car given to me didn't smell like weed, it absolutely reeks of marijuana. I went to exchange for a different car today. They gave me a car that smells like a chain smoker of cigarettes car. On top of all this they charged me for insurance I did NOT want. This was my first rental with Ace. I was always skeptical of them. Now I know NEVER RENT FROM ACE. Almost all of the "people" who gave more than 1 star have almost no other reviews. Looks to me like the majority 5 star ratings are fake profiles.

Rented from their Fort Lauderdale location. This is the sleaziest car rental company that I've ever dealt with. While it was parked in a parking lot, our rental car was scratched on the front and rear quarter panels by another car. Ace managed to transform this damage into a claim totaling over $7,400, including administrative and other charges which were calculated not as a fixed charge, but as a percentage of the body damage, giving the adjuster every incentive to inflate the claim as much as possible. Their damage claim for scratches to the front and rear quarter panels somehow included repairs to the front end, under body, wheels, tires, etc. Ace presented no photographic proof of any of this, other than the original photos of the scratches. To put this into perspective, the total bill for damages represented approximately 25% of the current fair market value of the automobile, and it wasn't involved in a collision. Adding insult to injury, their insurance adjuster, Rockport Auto Claims, was both lazy and incompetent. Rather than work things out with my insurer, American Express, which is their job, they kept invoicing me for unpaid amounts over the course of the 5 months that it took to settle the claim. Thankfully, in the end, American Express covered the entire bill. I can't praise them enough for their excellent support throughout this ordeal. Ace relies on large insurance companies paying up, rather than challenging their claim for damages in court. If they were challenged, at least in my case, they would be hard pressed to substantiate their claim. If I had a broken leg, and my only two options for getting to a hospital were to walk, or rent a car from Ace, I'd walk. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. My experience with Ace is far from unique. Check out some of the other reviews of Ace Rental Car on Yelp and elsewhere. The fact that I had to give this company one star in order to publish this review is misleading. It implies that I have at least something positive to say about this experience. I do not.

Alma was a great help in procuring my rental for my short family vacation. I always come back to this rental center.

I had a long day and after being tricked by another rental car company George at ACE Rent A Car made my experience seamless. His charisma was unforgettable and makes me want to return to ACE Rent a Car. I enjoyed the professionalism and it felt like a breath of fresh air to know that there are people who still believe in delivering on a great customer experience.

These people are so disgustingly rude. The counter service agent legitimately laughed in my face and told me BYE because he wasn’t trying to help at all. It’s shameful that people are able to operate business like this.

Never rent from them unless you’ll hassles. Our flight got cancelled and we got delayed by 4 hours. I called to tell them and they said no worries. Your minivan would be waiting for you. I arrived and they literally cancelled reservation couple mins before automatically in system even though I called to confirm. Now I understand when they have terrible reviews. I was stranded with 2 family members in wheelchairs that needed the minivan.

Overpriced. Partial Damage waiver fee. Comes out double the price plus old and dirty car. Super disappointed. Never again
